Bear { mush } Breakfast

by Healthy Diva on April 22, 2011

Morning  :-D

Happy Earth Day

What are you doing to celebrate Earth Day?

Even just using a reusable bag for shopping or groceries is a way to help the planet !

This article has 30 strange ways, pretty funny, especially the eat bugs one  8-O

On to Breakfast this morning, I tried a new friend  ;-)

Bear Mush , I saw it at the Natural Food Co-Op and decided to try it !

It was like a cream of wheat, and I liked it, I have to say I love my quick oats the best  :-D

I had it cold overnight style, and I added a mixture of frozen berries on the bottom layer

  • 1/4 cup bear mush
  • 1 cup water and almond milk mixture
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Stevia
  • Strawberry Extract ( thats why it’s pink )

I added Chocolate Protein Frosting on Top and some Bear Naked Vanilla Almond Granola

I loved this oat bowl, but I have to say, I think I would like the bear mush hot and not cold, I like mushy and it wasn’t mushy being cold,  but I added more Almond Milk and that helped!

I like trying new things ;-)

New Workouts are great too , and I am going to try this circuit today -

  • warm up of ten minutes on the elliptical
  • Dumbbell curls  12lb  3 sets of 10 -12
  • Hammer curls 12 lb 3 sets of 10-12
  • Overhead Press 12 lb 3 sets of 10 -12
  • Backward Lunges with 8 lb weights and 3 sets of 12
Cool Down with Stretching for 10 minutes, even light walk on the treadmill

*For the Exercises –

I take very little rest in between, but I do one set and do it 3 x then move to the next! I like to get a fast and efficient work out!

Have you ever tried Bear Mush?

Im off to figure out my day! Anthony is off school, it’s raining though so no outdoor fun  :-|

I have to order Cookie Favor Bags for the Wedding too! A must to do and cross off my list!

Be back later Earthlings

Katie xoxo

I’ve never heard of bear mush! I’m an oats girl too, I’m not sure I’ll ever switch.

Enjoy your workout!

Bear mush looks good. I was just wondering if you could write a post on self tanning and your thoughts on it and best ways to self tan at home doing it yourself and with spray tan. Trying out a new spray tan on Monday night (the tanning girl is coming to my home). Have a fun weekend!

Looks like Bear Mushy wasn’t very mushy? ;) It does look like it would be better hot than cold though. Happy Earth Day! :D

The bear mush looks good! What a weird name for a breakfast cereal LOL. It almost sounds a little gross!

My mom and I are going to Starbucks for coffee now, with our reusable cups ;)

Is today not a holiday in the US? Here in Canada everyone has Good Friday off to the long weekend, is monday the holiday in states instead?

Thanks for posting your workout! I tried it yesterday. I ran a mile outside (no elliptical in my house) then did the circuit (added french presses for those troublesome triceps). My quads and glutes are KILLING me this morning – I forgot how tough (and effective!) those reverse lunges are! Happy Easter :)
