Perky { Day }

by Healthy Diva on May 12, 2011

Beautiful Morning Hello to everyone  :-D

It’s Thursday! Exactly one week ago I was in DC for a fun weekend full of fun with Sara

What fun we had! I miss her! I am going back in August for a visit so that makes me happy!

I had some bomb chocolate berry overnight oats this morning, I placed the frozen berries on top overnite too , and they defrosted and made it berry goodness all over!

I added Almond Milk to my bowl , and mixed it all together, topped it with some vanilla shortbread yums crumbled up! Was so good! Im so odd, I know  :-D

I tried this new creamer in my coffee today too, and it was good! Anyone who is dairy free, vegan, or gluten free, this creamer is great to try!

So I feel I am pretty perky  ;-) Meaning Im always happy, haha! Do not take it the wrong way!

I like to workout my chest for some perky pecs , I think it’s one of the least  trained parts on my body and I want to change that !

So here is a great Chest Workout that can be done at home or in the gym, dumbbells and a ball or bench is all that are needed!

5 Chest Exercises to rock out!

( oxygen magazine )

If you are a beginner, do 1-2 sets of each exercise with 10 reps or

Intermediate or Advanced do 2-3 sets and 10-12 reps

- Incline Push Up you can do these with a ball, bench, or a platform

- Dumbbell Chest Press use a dumbbell weight that is challenging but not too heavy, u can always build up, start light, do not take chance of hurting yourself!

- Incline Chest Press Like I said, start light, you can always build up weight when you get stronger!

- Dumbbell Pullover Contract your abs while doing this exercise ; )

- Dumbbell Chest Fly Do not try to do this move fast and flap like a birdie, ha! Control the movement slowly

So who is going to get some Perky Pecs with me?

Hope you enjoy this workout if you try it, I really think its good to work out your chest  :-D

Who else hardly ever works out their chest ?

Have a great day Lovers!

Yep the chest area is one of my least favorite parts to work along with my abs. I’m going to do the chest and back dvd from Supreme 90 tomorrow morning. I worked my legs this morning, I love working my shoulders, arms and legs the most and like doing cardio too. Those flowers are pretty and they’re pink too, one can never have enough pink in life! x

Thanks for the chest workout! I have done most of those exercises. I work with a trainer and she incorporates all parts of my body into my routines but we never focus on just one body part.

Hello love! I love your happy posts ;)

Your site looks so cute too- have been reading but not commenting since things have been crazy around here!!! Hope you are well.

I work chest with mostly push-ups and I also taking a resistance training class and we do lots of different flys with cables- cables get all the little ‘armpit’ chest muscles that are so hard to train!

My pecs are actually currently super sore from BodyPump yesterday!! For some reason those muscles always get way more sore than the rest of my body…or maybe they’re just not as strong ;)

Reply

35 Katie May 12, 2011 at 2:45 pm

I get so sore too, and it is because I am not strong enough in that area, I am working on it!!!
