Breakfast Melon Bowl { oats }

by Healthy Diva on June 9, 2011

Morning loves! 9 DAYS now! Wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo! Let’s do this! I can’t wait for the big day!

I had a kick butt strength workout last night, I wanted to share it with you! I found this on fitbie.com , and it is great!

Circuit 1 -

Squat and Row
Pushup with Leg Lift
Alternating V-Up
Lunge and Chop

Circuit 2

Deadlift to Lat Pull
Line Jump and Press
Rolling Plank and Knee Tuck
Side Lunge with Ball Sweep

I did 15 minutes cardio on the elliptical before as well! I did 3 sets of each exercise on both circuits, with 30 seconds rest in between!

Try it, its sweaty and its fun to switch it up!

Breakfast was so damn good this morning! I saw a melon bowl thing -a-ma-jing at walmart yesterday, and I knew it would be awesome for breakfast!

I filled the melon bowl with Oatmeal ! Topped with blueberries and maple syrup!

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • stevia
  • Protein Frosting! Sunwarrior and water mixed together!

This was goooooooooooooood! I want another melon bowl for another oatmeal melon bowl breakfast!

And I had some coffee too  ;-)

Got to love the mug  :-D

Before I forget, this seasoning is so good!

Garlic and Herb , I put this on my mushrooms, Loved it! It is good on chicken too!

Do you use seasonings when cooking?

I do a lot, especially with chicken, chicken is more fun with flavor!

Have a great day!

Katie xoxo

I do use seasonings — I like the Mrs. Dash different flavors — for meats, veggies, etc. I also love Garlic Gold. I sprinkle that stuff on everything!

Melon is one of the fruits that I’ve never tried with my oats, but I think I need to get on that! Looks CRAZY good. And I love using seasonings when I’m cooking. My favorite ones are thyme, basil, and oregano, but one of my favorite blends is Mrs. Dash.

9 days?!?! Eeee! So excited for you!

It was good! Yogurt in the middle would of been good too, but I really don’t eat yogurt, I used to 2 times a day , but just stopped in november, no particular reason, but now I don’t want it!

Love you!!!

Hubby has to watch his salt intake so I use a lot of Mrs. Dash. There’s some pretty good flavours out there!
