Lunch Date and Random Playlist

by Healthy Diva on July 20, 2011

Hey guys!

Mike wanted me to tell all of you Thank You for the wonderful birthday wishes, and he wanted to say that he has the best wife ever! Actually I added that in there , hehe

I had a lunch date with him at noon, so I wanted to squeeze in a quick 20 minute cardio workout before then

Elliptical 20 minute  HIIT

* warm up of 5 minutes

I did a switch off between reverse and forward

1-2 minutes reverse , Incline 16 regular pace

3-4 minutes forward, incline 10 ( go as fast I can last minute )

5-6 reverse , Incline 16 regular pace

and continue until 20 minutes, resistance was set at 6 as well for whole time!

* 5 minute cool down on stationary bike

Let me know if you try this, its a good one!

My Playlist adds today were good today too, but random, like my life, haha!

- Godsmack , Whatever

- Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody

- Madonna , Heartbeat

- Lady Gaga , Americano

Random but good! My whole music style is all mixed up!

I then showered up and got ready for lunch !

We went to Flat Top Grill, a favorite of ours!

You go to a buffet and fill your bowl up with veggies, a type of protein, sauce, and then they cook it all up for you!

* tried to take a pic of where they cook up all the meals, but bad lighting  :-?

Mike got a shrimp, chicken , and veggie bowl with different sauces, a spicy chili pepper sauce was his main choice, you can choose from a lot of different sauces!

I have no head! haha!

I got a chicken and veggie filled bowl!

Was great to do lunch with the birthday boy  :-D

I made a quick stop after saying goodbye to Mike, had to pick up the BEST part about a birthday

Birthday cake! Not just any, Coldstone Ice Cream Cake, the BEST!

Mike and Anthony always request a coldstone cake for their birthday’s!

What is your favorite Birthday Dessert, is it cake? If cake, what kind?

See you later on, Mike and I have plans to maybe see a movie when he gets done *hopefully early* from work!

Katie xoxo

Happy birthday Mike! I like cupcakes or my mom’s yellow cake. It’s from a box but the way she makes it is amazing! My birthday is right after thanksgiving so I never want to eat. I was thinking of getting my whole family to do something active this year. I can picture my 80yr old grandfather ice skating or rock climbing..ya right! Hope you get to see an early movie :)

My favorite is an almond torte from Pittsburgh’s Prantl’s bakery – to die for! Ice cream cake is a close second though! ;)

I love ice cream cake! Usually on my birthday Jason will take me out to dinner and we’ll get a dessert there. This past year it was a banana cashew egg roll — it was so good!

Aw, happy birthday, Mike! His birthday is a day before mine and it’s a great month to have a birthday in. :-) I guess my favorite dessert would be Jennifer Cornbleet’s raw chocolate cake – solid walnuts, dates, and cacao – yum!

Whatever by Godsmack is one of my favorite songs :D Gets my blood going for sure. I’m glad that you and Mike had an awesome lunch, but I’m willing to bet that dessert is going to be even better :D I’ve never had an ice cream cake from Cold Stone, but I always loved the ice cream cakes from DQ. But really, any cake is good cake as long as frosting is involved, right? ;)

I love birthday cake and ice cream. My fave part of the cake is the frosting so if I can get an ice cream cake that actually has frosting, I’m in heaven :)
Glad you had a wonderful lunch date :)

Ice cream cake is my favorite! But we usually get it from baskin robins. I saw a while back that cold stone has ice cream cupcakes but every time i would go get them they were out.

The cupcakes do sell out fast, I pre-ordered them for Anthony’s birthday , they are yummy!

You really are THE BEST wife ever! Lunch looks super yummy…I love places that let you pick your ingredients! In high school I’d eat at a place called Mongolian Barbecue at least once a week. They called me Veggie Girl because I’d always load my bowl with tooons of veggies. :-)

I’m not really a cake person…with a huge exception for ice cream cake! Love it! I used to request Baskin Robbins cakes when I was little (before Coldstone existed), and still love ‘em. But I could almost do without the cake part…Just give me ice cream pie!

I hope you had a fab night with the hubby!! xoxoxo
