Little { baby } boy no more

by Healthy Diva on August 15, 2011

As I laid in bed last night, tears streamed down my cheeks, Mike already was prepared with tissues for me and a hug, he knows I am like this every year, since him and I have been together

They were tears of happiness and sadness

My little boy was starting 6th grade tomorrow and I can’t believe how fast time goes

Anthony was the sweetest and cutest baby ever! Im not just saying that, I mean look how adorable!

I remember these days like they were yesterday

Anthony still in diapers, running around with a sippy cup, and throwing tantrums, how could I forget those times , he would love doing that  ;-)

He has grown up fast, one thing that will never change, he will always be goofy!

Every year I take his pic on the first day of school, just so I always have photo memories and for him to have these photos when he gets older as well  :-D

Today I took his photo for his first day in 6th grade, I may have cried my eyes out when this handsome young man walked away to the bus stop, and I have to say Im crying now as i type this

Anthony we are so proud of you, for the young man you are becoming and for being such a wonderful kid

No matter how old you are,  you will always be my baby boy

I will cry every year as the grades get higher and when college comes, but remember these are tears of happiness, and I love you so much! Time just goes so fast, I treasure every moment I have with you  :-D

Parents, you know how I feel, it seems one day they are crawling around on the floor getting into everything , and the next day they are getting in a car and driving off to college

Just always take lots of photos, have lots of tissues, and treasure the precious moments!

Ok , wow, what a emotional start to the day, let me dry these tears and share another happiness…

Peanut Flour Pancakes

Pancakes were PERFECT for today, as I needed a extra special breakfast  :-D

These were Peanut Flour  Apple Pancakes with Dried Apple Crisps in them, for extra flair  ;-)

Recipe-

1/4 cup peanut flour

Bag of dried apple cinnamon crisps

2 egg whites

2 tbsp almond milk

1/2 tsp baking powder

2 packets of stevia

1 tbsp of flaxseeds

cinnamon

Combine all ingredients, except dried apples, and blend in a blender, transfer into a bowl, add dried apple crisps into the batter, crumble them up a little, and then cook on a skillet!

Topped with a mixture of maple syrup and pb , melted together!

Just microwave for about 25 seconds!

And there might of been tears in the recipe too, feel free to add your own  :-|

Lovegrown granola Apple Walnut on top as well , and leftover dried apple crisps!

* I used most of the apple crisps in the pancake batter, but saved some for topping too!

Was a perfect breakfast , filling and yummy!

Im off to run some errands and get breakfast made for the other kid in my life, a.k.a Michael , ha!

If you are a parent, are you a emotional wreck like me at times like this?!!

its all part of being a parent , just wish I could make him stay a little boy!

Coming Up….

- One For One, a new bar that has the same concept as TOMS shoes, I am excited to share this!

Have a great day!

Katie xoxo

Awe, Katie!!! I am so right there with you!! Carter starts preschool in a few weeks and I’m already an emotional wreck!! I want him to have a full year of preschool before kindergarten and starting this year will give him two years of preschool. I’m so upset about him starting that I almost want to just wait until next year. I’m not ready to let go of my baby and trust someone else to care for him!! Waaaah! I know it will be good for him, but it absolutely kills me. And it’s only two mornings a week! haha :)

Haha, I’m sure the tear pancakes were delicious (hopefully the syrup outweighed the salt!)

But truly, having never been a mother, I have only witnessed those joy-tears in my own mother (a noted crier-extraordinaire) and think that, if photos and your description are any indication, you’re raising an excellent (and adorable!!) little guy who’s going to rule the school!!

My daughter starts 2nd grade this year (next week) and I know I’ll be a mess. I’ll have to throw the shades on after I drop her off in class haha. Aww, I feel the exact same way!! It’s so bittersweet how fast they grow up! I always take pictures on the first day of school too! We have a little book that looks back at all the elementary years that Adam fills out at the end of each school year. I’m sure we’ll love looking back on that when he’s older.

Anthony looks so handsome for his first day! I’d say cute – but he’s a 6th grader now, so that probably wouldn’t fly! ;)

Have a great day Katie! Love u! <3
