Medicine Ball { BFF }

Good Morning! Happy day !

So I am leaning towards getting that kitchen aid mixer, so many of you replied with how much you love yours!

Perhaps Mike should get a blue one, we can both be kitchen aid lovers

Better late than never wedding gift, and I know I will love it!

Oh the breakfast cake in a mug came again today, but it was a cherry coco day….

Cherry Coco Protein Cake in a Mug

1/2 cup liquid  ( half water, half egg whites )

1 tsp baking powder

6 frozen cherries

1/2 squeeze pack of Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter (yum! )

1 tbsp coco cardio powder ( u can use cocoa as well or cacao powder)

2 packets of stevia

Also a little Lovegrown Granola Cranberry Pecan  ;-) I wish I had the Cocoa Goodness flavor left!

I had a new flavor K-Cup today as well. the BEST….

Pumpkin Spice

**Remember , always do what weight or workout plan that works for you, I am not a certified personal trainer  ;-)

Do you make up your own workouts or do you have a plan you follow like Body For Life’s Workouts?

I usually roll with my own plan, I just do what I feel works for me, and it does  :-D

Have a great day friends!

Katie xoxo

I love my medicine ball! So versatile :)

I make up my workouts about half the time, the rest of the time I use DVDs or workouts from magazines/blogs. Yours looks great!

Yes I love making up my own too , I use moves I have seen in mags or learned from dvd’s! I like to make up my own, more fun!

I LOVE making up my own workouts :) LOVE IT. I really wanted to do Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Trainer, but I didn’t enjoy it because I wasn’t getting to have the fun I usually do making up my own workouts! :( This one with the medicine ball looks great though :) I think I may just try it out tonight girl ;) Thanks for sharing :D

I heard Jamie Eason’s ones are great too, I have a friend doing her plan right now!

I love doing my own as well, keeps it spicy, haha! Can I just say I LOVE the overuse of smiley’s in this comment?!!! I do! Makes me happy!

Have a great day! xo

And what can I say, I am a smiley girl ;) <3

I would love it if you updated me on her progress :) Do you have any suggestions for workouts that promote muscle gain?

8 Amanda @ Running with Spoons September 13, 2011 at 8:09 am

His and her stand mixers? Eeehehe I love it. Double the treats :D

I’ve been trying to start coming up with my own lifting routines. For a while, I was following the plan from NROLFW, but I got bored about halfway through and found I wasn’t looking forward to my workouts anymore. Sad face. When I changed things up and made it fit with my goals, then I started having fun again.

Hope you’re having a great morning, love <3

haha! Would be sweet! If we get one, which I hope I do, will just be the PINK!

Yeah I heard NROLFW is good, I actually downloaded it on my kindle, but never was looking to do the workouts, I just liked reading it!

Have a great day too love! xoxo <3

I love my medicine ball — although I think mine is losing air and is not as heavy as it should be!

I like to follow workout plans — ones I find online or in books. I’d like to try Body for Life at some point, I’ve heard such good things about that plan.

Have you thought about becoming a certified personal trainer?

U need to pump it up! ha! ; )

Actually I just might be studying soon, but for a group fitness certified instructor ; )

I don’t have a medicine ball, but I do lots of these moves with a kettlebell (ADDICT!). :)

Breakfast mugcake sound delish! Perhaps I’ll give it a try tomorrow AM!

Hope you are fabulous love! xoxo

I was initially afraid that there wouldn’t be pumpkin in your post, but you snuck it in with the coffee! I usually wing it when I go to the gym- I try and do a mix of arms/legs/core, but sometimes end up just doing cardio if my brain is fried!

To be honest, I usually just hop on the treadmill. Exciting, I know. I probably should try to incorporate some different exercises into my routine.

I want/need/have to have a Kitchen Aid mixer! I have seriously been drooling over them for a year now.

What a great workout. I have an 8pd medicine ball so I’ll try it out with that. I do a mix mash of workouts from Cathe Friedrich, I ordered her new set of DVDs and I was thinking to myself I might try a barre type workout? Have you tried barre type workout? I treated myself to Cathe’s pull up tower for my birthday and it has a barre stand and I’ve ordered her new barre workout. Have heard people getting good results with Physique 57, core fusion so I’ll give it a go x

Too funny if you and Mike had matching kitchen aids, I think that’s a great idea xx

26 Healthy Diva September 13, 2011 at 10:24 am

I have heard the Physique 57 and barre workouts are great, personally I have never tried either, so I am no help! PLEASE let me know if you start doing those dvd’s and let me know if its giving you results you want!!

Medicine Balls are great, I use dumbbells way to much and forgot about my lonely medicine ball ; )

Oh , I don’t think mine are cuter, maybe yours are yummier and mine a little cuter?! ha!

31 Alicia F. September 13, 2011 at 10:09 am

Love the two mixers, hard to tell which color to pick, they are both so cute! But the pink one is definitely more girlie so I’d go for that one!

I’m so glad you go the Pumpkin Spice K-cup!! Isn’t it wonderful??! :-D

For workouts I change it up, I usually pop in a video and add a some weights in at the end. I always have to keep it different because I get bored easily with the same routine, and bored-ness for me leads to LAZY! What are some of your favorite workout resources??

Reply

32 Healthy Diva September 13, 2011 at 10:22 am

Oh def pink! If we were millionares we might of gotten both !

YES I love the pumpkin spice k cups! I am going to stock up!

I actually LOVE oxygen magazine for some great workouts, I also think Jamie Easons got some good ones, and New Rules Of Lifting has some good ones too, I got that book!

Have a great day ! xoxo <3

Pink KitchenAid? Adorable!! Mine is silver. I wish it was purple!!

Silver is a good color, matches with everything, pink will not, but I just have to have pink, ya know, I bleed pink glitter : )

I mean, just strength training with a combo of cardio is always a good plan, it just depends, everyone different! I build muscle very easy! Its genetics, my sisters are the same ; )

Make sure you are getting enough protein especially after a workout, that is key! Have a smoothie! I think Jamie Eason’s plan could be good! I do little cardio when I do it, no more than 30 minutes, sometimes only 20, strength training is what I love and I see better results with!

xoxo <3
