Pumpkin Protein { Frosting }

by Healthy Diva on September 13, 2011

Afternoon my loves!

Quick Shout Out to my new readers! Thanks for stopping by, and hope you come back more!

I did cardio only today for a work out, since I have major DOMS still from the medicine ball workout

I was very BRIGHT with the shirt today, this pic does no justice  ;-)

Seriously, if someone that had a hangover saw me, they would not be happy with the Brightness  8-O

I did my favorite cardio workout, to me it makes the time go so fast when I do this one! Love it

I found myself picking up the pace when Lady Gaga was on

“Americano “  was when I really went fast  :-D

I was not in the mood for a smoothie today, which I have not been lately

So I was contemplating lunch, trying to use stuff UP but something good….

Had some Pumpkin Left   all gone now *womp womp*

And I have Almond Butter that needs used up too , so I created a new frosting!

Pumpkin Protein Frosting

Perfect for a new Protein Pita Pizza combo!

This is the best one YET , could change, but as of today, best protein pita pizza !

Topped some Lovegrown Apple Walnut Granola on there, have to have that *crunch*

Pumpkin Protein Frosting

3 tbsp Pumpkin ( canned pumpkin )

1 scoop of Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein Powder

1 tbsp of Almond Butter or Peanut Butter

Dash of cinnamon

And Im sure this has been created before, but its new to me, so I am excited

Try it, you will love it!

Ideas to use it with…..

You can use the frosting for waffles, toast, pancakes, protein cupcakes, with apples, and more!

Just brewed some more pumpkin spice coffee , so I am wide awake for the chores I have to do the rest of the day !

See you later loves, Im thinking a fashion post later  :-D

Katie xoxo

Aw, bright tops make the day brighter! Do you have a gym in your building or are you a member of a gym? You’re very motivated, super impressed!

I love the bright color — somehow wearing bright colors when I work out makes me move faster — same with wearing new workout clothes too.

Hey Katie!
That elliptical workout looks really good–I’m generally a treadmill girl but have been wanting to get more into the elliptical as well. I like the using the ones with the arm handles–so I’m working my whole body–but those tend to not have the inclines on them. Which do you use? Do you use the ones with the arm handles or just the ones with the incline and resistance?
Thanks!
ps: I was also sore today–

30 Healthy Diva September 13, 2011 at 5:02 pm

Hi love! Oh so you are a treadmill lover huh ? : )

I go on the treadmill rarely, as you can tell, no treadmill workouts !

I use both kinds of ellipticals actually, but I love the ones with the handles that move the most!

I have a top from Lulu in the same color and it is shocking. My husband bought it for me and I think its because he really worries about safety while running….go figure, as long as its Lulu I’m happy.

I vitamixed up some protein pumpkin ice cream last night. I froze 1/2 cup of pumpkin and yogurt in an ice cube tray. Added some almond milk (I agree unsweetened Silk is the best!), sunwarrior, stevia, spices and gums. Topped with Truwhip and WF Caramel sauce…HEAVEN. Pumpkin ice cream craving gone (for now)!! Thank you for your offer to share with me, so sweet! :)

I am going to have an orange glow by the end of November for sure!!
