Strawberry Oatmeal Protein Poppers

by Healthy Diva on October 27, 2011

Morning!

I seriously can’t believe its Thursday! Im happy about it though!

{ Breakfast }

I am NOW officially addicted to my pancake popper pan !

Strawberry Oatmeal Protein Poppers

Best idea ever to use oats, since I love oats for breakfast every morning!

I thought about how much I love my oatmeal pancakes, so I decided to turn them into a popper.

Ingredients

1/2 cup oats

1 scoop of protein powder

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup egg whites

1 tbsp  flaxseeds

strawberries

Strawberry filled goodness  :-D

For the syrup, I mixed maple syrup and strawberry jam together, heated in microwave for 30 seconds

I also sprinkled some Trader Joe’s coffee, sugar, and chocolate sprinkles on top!

These were so good! I really am glad I got that new fun pan

Whats going on today ?

Mike and I have fun plans tonight!

Going to the Penguins hockey game! Im excited! We are doing dinner before at Six Penn too!

This is actually Mike and I’s first hockey game together! When we lived in PA for those few months before we moved away, he had tix to a Penguins game, but I was out of town!  I am happy that we get to go together tonight!

I love going to hockey games, I actually used to go to a lot when I was a little younger, I had crushes on a few Penguin players, haha! I used to skip school to watch the penguin players practice!

I was one of those crazy penguin fans and I had a huge crush on Ken Wregget who was their goalie!  He actually gave me his goalie stick one time at practice, I almost died, haha! I was only 15 so I was a dork!

{ Questions }

Have you ever had a sports player crush?

Ever get to watch a practice for a sports team?

I only had crushes for 2 sports players, Ken Wregget from the Pittsburgh Penguins and Andre Agassi! I thought Andre was so hot, had his pics on my wall!

Those strawberry oatmeal poppers look delish! I want to get a pan like that. So cute! :)

I’ve been to one hockey fan and it for the Philadelphia Flyers. I do have a crush on Chase Utley from the Phillies. I think he is super cute. Have fun at the game! :)

I used to skip school to go to see the Pens practice at the Iceoplex too! AND my cousin and I were in the crowd at the arena for the movie Sudden Death…also skipped school. I was still in elementary school (maybe middle-I actually forget) but she was in High School. It was so fun!

I think Sidney Crosby is super cute! He won’t be on the ice, but maybe a good view on the side lines? Let’s Go Pens!

Oh my gosh, that oatmeal pancake recipe looks delicious – and in ball form even more so! Very creative and fun! <3 Love it!
Oooh…I hope you have a wonderful time at the hockey game! I'd love to see an ice hockey match, I'd imagine they're heaps of fun! I used to love that movie with Joshua Jackson, the Mighty Ducks. He was nice to look at when I was younger, and totally got me into ice hockey, lol! ;-)
I think the All Blacks captain (we're talking NZ Rugby here, in case you are understandably lost, lol!) Richie McCaw is very hot! :-P
Have a lovely day! xyx

I LOVE berries cooked into things – these look delicious!

Have fun tonight! I love doing things downtown – Six Penn is one of my favorites! Too bad it’s too cold to eat on the rooftop deck! :)

Justin LOVES hockey. And the season is SO long too!! He works a lot of hours starting in January, so he DVRs them and then watches them when he gets home or when he has time.

He gets so excited when there are fights!

Sports crushes… when I was young, I used to be IN LOVE with John Starks who played for the Knicks. Like I was obsessed. I loved the Knicks and would get so upset when he wasn’t playing because it was hard to look at him if he was sitting on the bench.

Oh , Justin and Mike would get along so well! Mike loves it too! We have NHL center ice so he can have all the games, haha!

I always go early to baseball games to watch batting practice and try to get some pics with the players. My current athlete crush is Novak Djokovic. I just love a tennis player!
PS. You have made me add pancake popper pan to my ever growing Christmas list!

Those poppers look so yummy. I love the strawberry in the middle.

I never had a sports player crush but I really admired the female bball player Rebecca Lobo when I was like 10. She played for Uconn the first year they won the championship and was the star player. I even waited in line with my grandmother to get her autograph haha. It’s funny to think about the childhood mindset now that I’m grown.

I’ve always liked catchers in baseball and had a crush on Joe Girardi when he played for the Yankees. Now he’s their coach, and he’s looking old and rough!
