Goat in { oats }

by Healthy Diva on November 27, 2011

Good Morning! Hope everyone is officially over their turkey hangovers, if you had one!

Last night the christmas decorating did not happen, we somehow forgot the box with the lights and ornaments in storage. We are going to search for it today, and I hope to have the tree up later!

Last nights dinners…

Ground chicken soft tacos for the boys  :-D

I had my brown box waiting for me for dinner…

I love Whole Foods hot bar and salad bar!

I throw everything in there that intrigues me, so its always a weird combo!

Brown Box Mix -

Asian Sesame Tofu, Seaweed Salad, Beets, Mushrooms, Powder Quinoa Salad, Broccoli, and Spinach

Good stuff  :-D

I was cleaning out my fridge a little last night and found my honey goat cheese that I forgot about.

I was craving some, so I decided to put some in my overnight oats bowl. I figured it would be good with some pumpkin oats. I made the oats, and then stirred in some goat cheese so it melted in while tho oats were hot.

Honey goat cheese was a great addition to my oats! I didn’t taste it at first in there, but then there was a little hunk that didn’t melt all the way, and it was so good! I think I will add goat cheese to them again with another combo.

Pumpkin Protein Goat Cheese Oats-

1/3 cup oat bran, 1 cup water, 1 scoop of sunwarrior protein, stevia, 1/2 cup pumpkin, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, 1 tbsp chia seeds, slice of honey goat cheese

I am waiting for my  green mountain pumpkin spice coffee ( the BEST ) to cool down, hurry up!

The pumpkin spice k-cups they only sell for a little while in the fall, they will be gone. I have to go stock up on more because this is seriously my favorite k-cup!

{ Yoga Question }

( source )

I want to get a new mat and the Manduka ones are the best as I have heard. I got to use one in class yesterday and loved it! I love how its a thicker mat and I didn’t slip on it during hot yoga like I do with my other mat. I put one on my christmas list and am hoping santa feels the yogi inside him and gets me one!

Anyone who practices yoga have a Manduka Mat?

Have a great Sunday! Be back later  :-D

Katie xoxo

The Green Mountain K Cups are my favorite of all as well! So delicious!

I don’t have a Manduka yoga mat, but like you have heard lots of great things about them. I’d say go ahead and get one! Let us know if you like it! My yoga mat needs to be replaced sometime soon!

I’ve never had oats with cheese. Never even thought of it as an option but it sounds great. Wonder if it’ll be just as good with cheddar or swiss cheese. Btw, I just found your blog and I love it! cute header! :)

Hey lovely — I actually practice my hot yoga (Bikram) on a cloth (wool?) mat from Lululemon — it’s great because there is absolutely no skid from sweaty feet and you can wash it each time you go so it always feels super clean :)

why does your mish mash salad not surprise me?! ; ) bet that box was $10+! love their salad bar too – wish i could eat there every day. my daughter likes to share a salad with me, and her faves are all the bean-y type items: chickpeas, kidneys, edamame… do you have a sweet tomatoes or souplantation in pa? another fave. i’m lazy – why don’t i chop up all that goodness for us at home?!

Love that you and your daughter share, good idea!

As a yoga teacher, absolutely YES to the Manduka mat!!! I’ve been practicing on Manduka since day 1 and know that almost all teachers practice on and recommend them around here. They’re durable and perfect for home, studio, travel. Totally worth the price! I’d definitely recommend the Manduka ProLite mat if you’re going to get one! :)
