Anti-gravity Yoga

by Healthy Diva on January 2, 2012

I have been wanting to blog about this amazing yoga class I took when I was in NYC! Today I remembered and have the time to do a quick little post on it,  so you guys can take a class like this if there is one near you!

OM Factory Yoga Center

I was very excited to take a yoga class while in NYC, and a anti-gravity one seemed so cool!

Keelie and I took the class together, she was a newbie to it too!

I was happy to see her and again, and to do yoga with her was even more fun!

The class was amazing!

Anti-gravity yoga combines traditional yoga principles with elements from aerial acrobatics, dance, pilates and calisthenics. Its an amazing class and experience! It was challenging and scary at times, because I would find myself not trusting the suspension hammock. I started to feel more comfortable though and it was awesome!

I was sore the next day, it is a great workout and challenging. I wish we had a anti-gravity yoga class around here, I would be taking it every week if we did! Its fun, a great workout, and a different style of yoga!

Anti-gravity yoga, I love you ! I hope to take another class one day!

To learn more about it, you can check out the site here!

Have you ever tired anti-gravity yoga?

I’m so jealous! I want to try anti-gravity yoga so bad–but the closest to OK is Austin, TX and that’s not very close. :)

So glad you got a chance to try it.

That looks awesome! I did aerial silks which was SO hard, but I think I’d like this even better.
