What’s in my fridge { wednesday }

by Healthy Diva on January 25, 2012

Good evening my dears!

This hummus I found at my local organic store is damn awesome! I love it!  Since I am a mushroom lover, I knew i had to get it, and it was just as good as I dreamed  :-D

I made a snack plate this afternoon with 34 degrees whole grain crisps and some dip on the side!

The dipping combo was an almost empty garlic hummus tub with 2 tbsp of portabella hummus, and cottage cheese. It was glorious mixed all together.

( the 34 degrees whole crisp crackers are my FAVORITE )

So we all like to be snoops and see what’s in someone else’s purse, closet, and more. I figured I would let you snoop in my fridge, even though it is a disaster right now. I never have a organized fridge, fyi  :-D

That’s my favorite almond butter too! I share my fridge with my two roommates so it definitely gets super full. It starts off organized and then slowly gets disastrous haha.

When I get my menu planning act together I’m gonna determine a week that I can make a big crockpot chili too – it’s been a while! Maybe this weekend!

Yours looks soooooo good.

That mushroom hummus sounds so delicious. I bet it would taste great mixed with some goat cheese (but lately I want to mix everything with goat cheese) ;)

I am AMAZED by what awesome products you can get in America!
I mean,FAT FREE half & half? SUGAR FREE Peppermint Mocha Creamer? Spinach- and Salmon burgers? Not to mention FRESH PORTABELLA Hummus or FLAX milk!
I can’t get anything of that in Germany… Needless to say I’m jealous,I guess?

Holla! That’s my FAVORITE Vitamin Water Zero flavor that you have – GoGo is the only way to go ;)

My fridge is organized – but that’s because I’m a major perfectionist.

I try to keep the fridge organized, but it’s tough! Especially when you live with people who have different food preferences. I like almond milk, but my parents drink dairy milk. We can’t even agree on an apple variety! haha

Yes, the boys always make it messy, so I never bother cleaning it ; ) So I understand!

I have the same Sriracha sauce! And you’re right…everyone needs it in their house asap. I used mine last night…obviously lol. Flax milk?!?! Say whaaaaaat. COME ON Canada…you need to step up your game over here!! And I had a Q, what’s the price like on that fresh salsa you buy? I don’t know why Canadian grocery stores think they can charge outrageous prices, but they do!!

Reply

31 Healthy Diva January 26, 2012 at 1:06 pm

It is the best! I love mixing some with vegan mayo too ; )

I think its about 4 dollars for that salsa! Not too bad! how much is it there?!

Reply

32 char @ char on a mission January 26, 2012 at 1:17 pm

$5, but I remember when we were in Florida, Publix brand was on sale for $2!! That really makes a huge difference the way we go through it! haha

The problem with my fridge is I’m always letting things go bad. Blah. I didn’t know you could buy coconut spread. Ihave a think of coconut oil and have no idea what to do with it. I also love that you buy anthony things like ice cream and chocolate chip waffles. We all need to be healthy, but kids need kid foods sometimes.

Reply

34 Healthy Diva January 26, 2012 at 8:23 pm

Thanks girl, it is true kids need to be kids, its how I was raised, I got to eat those kinds of things. I of course would never let my son get obese by my fault, but he can be a kid and eat things like that. He does not get fast food hardly ever, like two or 3 times a month if that!

Happy Thursday! <3
