Diva Approved

I need to look back and see what number of Diva Approved I am on, that way I can just state that in the title too next time!

Today has been very stressful, not going to lie and say every day is perfect, in fact lately it has been overwhelming. There are some things that just need to be left off the blog when it comes to certain personal things and what is happening right now is one of them. Just know in life there are BUMPY roads, but if you have faith, stay strong, and keep positive, you will get through it.

Now onto less bumpy roads, diva approved is on a smooth road! Enjoy the items I love this week!

Trader Joe’s Puffed Wheat Cereal

I picked these up this past week and glad I did, very good and extra bonus for being sweetened with agave! These remind me a little of a healthier golden crisp cereal, remember that? The one with the bear on the box!

IMG 3602 Diva Approved

34 degrees Caramel Crisp Crackers

Soooooo you know these are damn sweet! These are fun and a healthier cracker with some sweet kick to it! I topped some with pb2 the other day, very good! I wonder how creative I can get with these?! I am sure I will think of something! These would be a good sweet appetizer style feature with something sweet on top!

IMG 3604 Diva Approved

Oat Bran

Any kind of oat bran is good, I just buy the trader joe’s brand recently. I love oat bran and it is a switch up from regular oats as well! I want to add some to my smoothie to see if it will give me the thickness effect like oats do. You could use this a healthier bread crumb coating too!

IMG 3599 Diva Approved

Orville Redenbacher’s Kettle Corn Smart Pop

My favorite popcorn, only one I buy! I love the single serving bags too, great portion control! These are great for a snack in the afternoon or night as well! Easy to bring with you to work, just don’t burn it and make your co-workers mad! Haha! I have done that before when I worked in an office, woops!

IMG 3598 Diva Approved

Turkey Breast

Again, you can buy another brand too! I just love Trader Joe’s brand   icon biggrin Diva Approved

Turkey is a good source of protein and it is easy since you do not have to cook it when it is this style. Great to throw in a salad with goat cheese and strawberries! You can also put it in a wrap, do hummus and turkey roll ups for a snack, or throw some in an egg scramble!

IMG 3597 Diva Approved

Nabisco Zesty Salsa Wheat Thins

These are SO good, like eat the while box good! I had some last weekend just straight out of the box and almost couldn’t stop! Thank heaven I have good portion control on some things, ice cream nope! I got these for Mike but when i was snacky and wanted crunch I tried some, so glad I did!

IMG 3596 Diva Approved

Kay’s Naturals Apple Cinnamon Protein Cereal

Kay’s has been featured many times in diva approved, I am sure this has been too in the early days of diva approved too. Oh well, repeating myself I am sure! I like the snack size bags, they do have a box of this cereal but I buy the snack bags for on the go or travel! Great cereal and loaded with protein too!

IMG 3595 Diva Approved

Essie Metallics “Penny Talk”

Essie has a new metallic collection out and this color called out to the diva, so pretty! I love the metallic look and I love the penny color! So pretty and will be nice for fall!

IMG 3603 Diva Approved

Ok I am out of here! My mom is stopping over for a bit, Mike is working late so her and I are having girl time!

See you in the morning!

Diva Says…..

I send all of you love, good karma, and happiness every single day <3 Thank you for all the love you send me daily <3

I am going to check out that cereal next time I am at Trader Joes and take a look at the nutritional info. I am pretty picky when it comes to cereal because I would rather have steel cut oats, fresh juice, or a smoothie. Thanks for sharing! :)

Haha! I can be picky too, no worry! Yeah check it out for sure! :)

I’m sorry things are rough right now Katie! You can always call me if you ever want to chat. I’m always here. Things for me have been kind of down as well. I’ve been dealing with a bunch of my own personal demons–i.e. depression, body image obsession, etc.. I think we just need to stay strong within ourselves and work on the things we can change rather than trying to force things beyond our control. Remember I’m always here! Oh–and wheat thins–major danger zone for me. That sweet, wheat crunchy goodness–omg–I can down a box in a second–lol!
PS: That TJ’s salmon you had last night looked great. I’ll have to try it sometime. I’ve never seen it at my TJ’s but I’ll look again.
PPS: I came across a delicious new spice–from McCormick–Mediterranean Herb. It has a pizza-like kick to it with basil, and oregano. I’ve been adding it on everything to my salads; steamed veggies; oh and Zucchhini Noodles–soo good–tastes just like pasta!

I’m sorry to hear about the bumps in the road but you’re a strong woman that can take on anything. I have faith that whatever it is, will all work out for you!

I saw the puffed cereal at TJ’s the other day. I was tempted to buy it but I have a serious cereal addiction and can never stop at 1 bowl!
I know you love the TJ’s turkey breast. I used to love it too but then I found something even better – no salt turkey breast from the deli counter at Whole Foods. It’s sooo yummy and fresh. Tastes like turkey day turkey breast. I promise if you try it, you’ll never go back to the packaged turkey!

Sorry to hear that you are having a bad day Katie – just know you have a lot of supporters who really care for you! You’ve always been a fighter – and will come out of this stronger! <3

And because the trader joe's cereal reminded my of honey smacks and golden crisps (the one with the bear lol) is exactly why I bought them! LOL
Also, those 34 degrees crackers – they are definitely on my list with that Essie color! For the crackers, I was thinking maybe you can put them in some Arctic Zero ice cream!

I’m sending lots of positive thoughts your way! We all go through those rough patches and it’s just a matter of trusting that everything will work itself out. <3
I'm so glad that you liked the puffed wheat cereal! And I'm addicted to the new flavored wheat thins. Oh my goodness, it's dangerous. Have you tried the Tomato-Basil flavor yet? I couldn't put the box down!

YAH that burnt popcorn smell haha! Know how that goes. I haven’t found Kay’s stuff ANYWHERE around here and I remember seeing it like a year ago on your blog, I’ll have to break down and order it online.

Will you please share a pic of your nails when you use that polish? I think it’s so pretty but I want to see what it looks like on before I buy it, I’ve got issues ;)

I’m sorry you’re going through a rough patch. You are probably the best person to go through it though. And I only mean that with sheer love and respect! You are the happiest girl I know and I know if anybody can get through anything life throws her way and come out thankful for all of it, it’s you! Stay positive, my prayers are with you! :) <3

YES I will for sure! No problem at all! I might actually paint them today!

Oh thank you! YES, I agree about getting through it. I truly feel I have gotten through some very tough times because of my positivity and hapiness I have with me every day.

Thank you Darla! <3

I hope everything goes okay girl! And that this rough patch will soon be over!
At least we are blessed with being alive and healthy today and are surrounded by loving family to help through the hard times!
Keep your normal positive thoughts and mantras up, because when your spirit is up you always feel better and make others feel better around you too :)
Your always so positive, so I’m sure you won’t have trouble with it.
I’ve been loving turkey breast too. Amazing!
Lots of love to you xox

ohh those caramel crackers with some laughing cow cream cheese might be good! the cinnamon kind! and maybe even a little bit of jam. I like the Back to Nature Sweet Potatoe crackers for the salty-sweet component so I will have to get my hands on some caramel :-)
I love Kays Naturals! I have the protein pretzels but never saw the single serve bags of cereal. Do you order them???

I love the smart pop single serve kettle corn! I think it’s about to make it’s way back into my snack rotation.

I always pop it at 3p, so it throws my coworkers off when I vary the time. haha.
