Hit In My Sleep

by Healthy Diva on February 19, 2013

Morning!

Wow, wow, wow! SO many great MIMM link ups yesterday! Thank you all and thanks for the love on the new logo! I think it fits perfectly!

Yesterday we got our new toilets installed, so most of the morning I was stuck home waiting on that to be done. Luckily the guy was done around 11 am, lunch time for me! I was hungry and was happy he was gone and the toilets were in, lol.

Lunch was a wrap with turkey bacon, egg, cheese, and chunky guacamole. Was sooooo good!

IMG 0420 Hit In My Sleep

I rolled that baby up and had a sliced honey crisp apple on the side with it.

IMG 0423 Hit In My Sleep

I digested my food for a little while commenting on MIMM posts and doing some other computer work, then it was workout time.

Tracy Anderson month 5 was what I did yesterday, talk about booty and thigh burning! I was having some out of breath times with the leg lifts, definitely feeling pregnant this week, haha. I really have been enjoying her workouts and I am glad I got this dvd set, it rocks!

IMG 0424 Hit In My Sleep

Post workout eat was a quest cinnamon roll bar topped with pb! I really do love these quest bars, packed with protein and fiber!

IMG 0428 Hit In My Sleep

Not sure what happened to dinner last night, I just didn’t photograph it! I had a little hectic night over here, went to my parents to visit and got home little later than usual so threw something together quick. I know I had eggs again! I am on an egg kick!

I went off to bed early with Mike, which was really nice since we both have been trying to get to bed earlier and have been doing a good job with that. Mike even passes out before me which never happens.

You know what does happen?

Getting hit in my sleep! Lol, yup Mike must be dreaming of hitting a punching bag since he has been boxing, not sure. Last night he was hitting me in back, not hard but enough to scare me! Mike moves around a lot at night in his sleep, so I am used to it.

Me, I am a stay still kind of girl and don’t really move from my position or my side of the bed. Mike does move and sometimes has me hanging on the edge, one night I was hanging onto my snoogle for dear life, lol.

I think we need a bigger bed over here, thinking california king! Maybe one day down the line  icon wink Hit In My Sleep

Breakfast time!

Breakfast of chocolate oats topped with a quest peanut butter protein cup….

IMG 0418 Hit In My Sleep

I decided to throw one of those pb cups in oats since I rarely just eat them plain. I do like the quest pb cups but prefer them mixed in something like yogurt or ice cream!

Off to demolish breakfast and them to demolish grocery shopping!

Have a great start to your day!

Healthy Diva Asks…

Are you a sleeper that moves around a lot, talks in your sleep, or even kicks or hits in your sleep?!

Anthony is SO bad to sleep with, when he was little and I would sleep with him some nights, he would kick me like crazy! He is a kicker and mover!

What is a wrap combo that you love?

Lately I have been loving egg, turkey bacon, and guacamole!

My husband is the same way! I’ve been elbow-dropped in the eye in the middle of the night before…

I just love that there are so many workout options for pregnant women. This is definitely something I was unaware of until now! Great to keep in mind for the future.

When Eric and I went on vacation once in the beginning of our relationship my phone was laying on his side of the bed so I got up and reached over to grab it… it must’ve scared him because boom he punched me in the face. haha not hard or anything but it was still funny!

That pb cup meal looks sooooo good!

I do too! It really is great!

Oh that is a memory to not forget, lol! Boom! You must of been scared when that happened!

That breakfast looks amazing! Peanut butter cups for breakfast…yes please! I rarely move when I sleep. I like to sleep on my stomach and always end up in the same spot I feel asleep in. Sounds like you need a bigger bed!

I love Quest bars! Yum. Pb cups in oatmeal, you really can’t go wrong w/that combo!

I got hit my sleep last night too–but I think it was on purpose, I was grinding my teeth. I move and talk in my sleep, I must be a joy to sleep with;-)

Haha!I used to grind my teeth here and there too, so I know how that is!

I am a pretty still sleeper and so is my boyfriend. My daughter sneaks into my bed though and she is TERRIBLE. Kicking all over the place and rolling on top of me. haha.

That wrap combo sounds good! I think that any wrap with avocado or hummus is a winner!

Avocado in any type of wrap is so good!! Sometimes Jonny rolls over and pops me with his arm accidentally! haha

Well that’s one of the perks of living the single life, I suppose – having the bed all to myself and not having to worry about getting smacked in the middle of the night ;) I guess that I’m kind of a mover. Sometimes if I’m really tired, then I’ll wake up in exactly the same position as I went to sleep in, but other times I end up on the other side of the bed. My mom always complained about me being a kicker when I was little, though.

This post has convinced me that I REALLY need to try out these Quest products that I keep reading about on the blogs. That bar and those peanut butter cups sound amazing. I absolutely love that you incorporated it into breakfast, too. There is so nothing wrong with a little chocolate in the a.m. to get your day started out right! :)

One time I punched my husband when I was sleeping! I rolled over (which I do a lot throughout the night) and swung my first right towards his face! It woke me up and I remembered dreaming of some game I was playing. I didn’t hit him hard but it scared us both and then we laughed hysterically for about 5 minutes. whoops! :)

Omg! How funny! I would be scared as hell to wake up by a punch! Lol!

Crazy men! Stay safe haha! my husband has the tendency to FREAK out in the middle of the night. It scares me to death!

Eric definitely moves around in his sleep – I’ve only been hit or kicked a handful of times, but he definitely tend to work his way over to my side of the bed in the middle of the night, leaving me hanging on the edge!

I can’t even remember the last time I had a wrap. Might have to work that in for lunch this week!

I am a pretty still sleeper but my husband jerks when he is falling asleep so there has been a few times when we are cuddling and I get smoked in the face! lol
Fav wrap combo right now – turkey, scrambled eggs, avocado, tomato and spinach.

I am the mover in our relationship – I sometimes jab my knees into my husband’s back all night long. He has often times been hanging onto the edge of the bed for dear life haha
He is the talker in his sleep though. When he used to work nights and need to sleep during the day, if I went to wake him up and he started talking crazy talk, I knew he needed a few more hours haha

I have been craving some turkey bacon, I need to put it on the grocery list! My favorite wraps lately are chicken, spinach, and hummus. Simple and yummy!

I also need to get ahold of some of these quest bars you keep posting. They all look awesome.

Hahah I’m usually the one that is hitting my boyfriend in my sleep. Oops. Having a giant bed like a California king would be awesome except for when you have to sleep somewhere else in a smaller bed again.

I move around quite a bit in my sleep. My mom says I’ve done it ever since I was little. My husband just loves me for it to this day. ;)

My favorite kind of wrap lately has been cheese, avocado, turkey bacon, spinach, tomato, and horseradish mustard. Mmmm can’t get enough!

Oh my goodness the image of you hanging onto your snoogle cracks me up :-) me and my boyfriend both don’t move at night but he’s a talker. This is as bad, believe me. It scares me to death when he starts yelling around or discussing in the middle of the night lol :-)
That wrap look sooo good!!!! I love smoked salmon and hummus or tunapaste in my wraps.

I’ve been hit in the middle of the night too! haha Most of the time Josh doesn’t move much when he sleeps but occasionally he does. I tend to fall asleep and stay asleep in the same position.

Reply

40 Lisa February 19, 2013 at 12:26 pm

Haha, love it. I move SO much in my sleep. It’s an issue. I’ve woken up on the other side of my bed, the floor, it’s so bizarre. Maybe it’s because I used to sort of sleep walk.
I sometimes wake myself up from talking in my sleep too, but that doesn’t happen too often.
I’ve been wanting to try those quest bars forever! Everyone seems to love them.

Love those Hello Kitty socks! I tend to stay relatively still when I sleep, but my husband?! Oh man! I’ve had my hair pulled, my pillow tugged out from under my head, hit in the ear, hit in the eye, and once I was pushed off the bed. Itʻs funny because he’s so mellow and calm, but he’s so restless when he sleeps!

Reply

44 Angela @ Health's Angel February 19, 2013 at 2:44 pm

Haha! Such a funny visual. I am a rock when I sleep. My parents used to call me “the corpse” when I was a baby because I literally did not move or make noise. They used to come in and check on me just to make sure I was still breathing! Nothing’s changed…still a quiet sleeper here. :)

Reply

45 Caitlin February 19, 2013 at 4:14 pm

I’ve been yelled at multiple times for stealing the covers :( But really, someone has no room to complain since he’s ALWAYS whining about how hot he is (which is crazy since my apt is freezing) and how it needs to be “meat locker status” in order for him to sleep comfortably…I’m just unconsciously helping him out ;)

Reply

46 Healthy Diva February 19, 2013 at 7:55 pm

Hah, well almost time to steal covers from him again , 17 days now, right?!

Totally with you on mixing quest pb cups into something else. I actually don’t really like them plain, but if you can get past the texture, they aren’t horrible! I’m a kicker, for sure. It’s a good thing you don’t have me in your bed!

Reply

49 Healthy Diva February 19, 2013 at 7:55 pm

Haha, oh I wouldn’t mind the kicking! Girls sleepover! My sisters and I have sleepovers here and there, so fun!

I definitely toss and turn throughout the night and have been known to accidentally kick Ryan in the middle of the night… We’ve been thinking about upgrading to a king bed too but planning to wait until we have another room to put our current mattress in for a guest bedroom. My fave wraps include turkey + turkey bacon + guac + tomato + crispy romaine :) TJ’s low-carb wraps are my fave!

The cinnamon roll quest bar is my favorite flavor. Must have hit the spot after your workout! I’m a side sleeper, but I usually start off sleeping on my back, then tummy, then side :P !

When I was younger and slept with my mom when my dad was out of town, she said I always used to kick her! I think now I don’t move very much when I sleep. I must be too exhausted to even bother moving ;)
