Happy Valentine’s Day friends!

We all know the BEST day is really tomorrow, right?

Haha!

I happen to not mind Valentine’s Day, even when I was single I still liked it, maybe not loved it like I do now. I have 3 valentines this year so I am pretty lucky!

Mike, Anthony, and Baby G <3

Dinner last night was brinner which was just what the doctor ordered. I am STILL fighting this nasty virus and to be honest, it just plain sucks

Egg omelette with cheese and broccoli and veggies on the side.

I was in bed all day yesterday so not many exciting things to share about yesterday. I am hoping to fight this off soon, so much harder when you are pregnant and can’t take anything really.

I did paint my nails  icon wink Love in My Oats!

Breakfast was awesome and full of love!

I had to make my breakfast kind of special since it is valentine’s day  icon mrgreen Love in My Oats!

I added a love bite in my overnight oats, which made them extra amazing!

This morning I added some more love to my oats too and how about this raspberry that looked like a heart?!

Sprinkles for the special love touch and sunbutter on top too!

How about those oats?

Lots of love in there for sure and perfect way to start off the day!

Mike and I are not celebrating today, we have dinner plans on Saturday and will exchange our little gifts that day too. I am glad we are not celebrating today since I am sick, gives me a couple more days to get better. I am looking forward to this weekend for sure!

I have a lunch date with my valentine Anthony since he has a doctor appt I have to pull him out of school for and happens to be around lunch time when it will be over.I am not sure where we are going, but will decide then.

Have a great day everyone and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Katie xo

Was there ever a time you disliked Valentine’s Day?

Ok so its funny, the year I met Mike, I actually did an Anti-Valentine’s Day trip with my girlfriend. We went to Chicago for a long weekend and celebrated, lol! I met Mike of May that year, so it was my last trip of doing that!

Any big plans for Valentine’s Day?

Dinner plans for us on Saturday!

Chocolate or flowers ?

I would prefer chocolate, I really don’t like getting flowers on Valentine’s Day, I like getting flowers on a just because day more!

Happy Valentine’s Day love!! :) We aren’t doing much of anything tonight. We are planning on going out to dinner on Sunday to celebrate Valentine’s Day and our 6 month wedding anniversary.

Your oats look beautiful!! And I am sorry for you not feeling well still, I wish all the best! We do not celebrate Valentines Day here in Switzerland (well some do, but it’s not official) so it always has been an ordinary day for me :-)

Happy Valentine’s Day, hun! I actually have no idea what I’m doing for Valentine’s (relationship status: it’s complicated), but I still love the day. I actually never really understood why people dislike it so much – for me, any day to get a little more excited about anything is a good one :)

Hope you feel better soon!

I tell my husband please do not waste money on flowers! I’d much rather have more chocolate! But yes tomorrow truly is the best day of the year :-) Gotta stock up!

ha ha ha! Tomorrow is the BEST day! I read your blog the first time and totally missed the picture but now I got a good laugh out of it. Seriously though, everything that has pink or red in it will be 80% off tomorrow, which makes me happy :) Hope you feel better soon, but getting a lunch date with your one Valentine HAS to make you feel a little better today :) Rest up for your weekend!

Your porridge is so cute! I love the sprinkles!
I’m not a massive fan of Valentine’s Day, especially now I’m single. I also live in Japan where it’s done so differently, with different types of chocolate to give people according to their place in your life, and I’m so confused about it, plus, I work with other foreigners who might misinterpret my reason for giving them chocolate. Phew! So confusing! I prefer Christmas, so much more fun!

That’s so cool your raspberry looks like a heart. BTW, I went to my Target to look for that super cute heart sweater you posted about last week, they didn’t have any :(

I am not a huge Valentine’s Day celebrator. I think it’s pretty overhyped. I want my boyfriend to get me flowers or take me out to dinner because he loves me and wants to, not because it’s Feb. 14. I’m not “anti-Valentine” though either, never disliked it.

I’m particularly excited to hear about my daughter’s day in school. Valentines Day was always so fun in elementary school! She got all her Valentine together to hand out, even got her teacher something. I just know she is going to have a blast. Tonight I’m doing dinner and cookie decorating with her and my mom!

Aw, pretty bowl of love oats!
I am so not into Valentines day, just a commercial holiday to me.

I am going to hang out with my girlfriend, bring some salads over and chill. She is down and lonely since her live-in boyfriend decided to get a promotion and move out of state-and didnt ask her to go with him

I still have yet to try overnight oats! I’m thinking a pumpkin or apple cinammon combo would be good. I think you’ve done one of those. Hope Anthony’s apt was all good. :)

I love the white nails! And I enjoy finding foods in the shape of things. It brightens my day or sometimes makes me laugh when they are inappropriate things. Maybe just because I have the maturity of a 14 year old haha!

You lucky girl with 3 Valentines! I kind of have one – my dad made my mom and I dinner tonight. But funny story: I was running on the treadmill at the gym this afternoon when the cute guy I’ve been talking to asked if I had any big plans for Valentine’s Day as he was walking by to which I said “no…” and he was like “no?!” AND KEPT WALKING! …I know I’ve been single for awhile but wasn’t that when he was supposed to ask me out? ;)

Reply

36 Healthy Diva February 15, 2013 at 7:57 am

SERIOUSLY! He should of asked you out then! Maybe it was too cliche since valentines day? Well you better keep me posted on that guy and I am hoping he asks you out soon! Really seems like he likes you!

37 Katie @ Talk Less, Say More February 15, 2013 at 1:08 pm

HAHA! Glad I’m not alone on that thought! I’m assuming it probably would have put too much pressure or would have been too cliche, but maybe was his way of finding out if I was seeing anyone? Stupid boys. haha

38 Brittany @ Proteinandpumps.com February 14, 2013 at 9:53 pm

Agreed! Flowers on a random day are wayyyyyy better than on Vday. Feel better! I’m coming down with something too and have been fighting hard to make it go away. Ugh.

My friend totally sent me that first meme you have! She knows me too well ;) I love Valentine’s Day even when single. I love all of the love in the air and how happy and thoughtful people get for the ones they care about. I am so happy for you and your three men this Valentine’s!

I keep telling myself I need to pair sunbutter with sweet stuff more often, but I always forget! I usually stick to more savory things like egg scrambles or as a dip for my carrot sticks, but I REALLY need to try it in some sweet oats soon!

Valentine’s Day has never really been a HUGE holiday in my mind, so if I happened to be single when it rolled around in the past, it just felt like another day to me. If I had to chose between flowers or chocolate, I would definitely chose flowers, but I REALLY prefer the man-friends version of a bouquet…can’t beat a dozen crisp kombuchas! ;)

The man-friend hooked you up on valentine’s day! I saw that pic and was proud, haha! He knows what happiness is! :)
