New Bagel and Booty Burn

by Healthy Diva on February 21, 2013

Morning! Thursday is here and it’s almost the weekend! Sweeeeeeeeet!

Yesterday involved another day of being stuck home half the day waiting on a handy man, so I decided to do a new workout that my beautiful friend Jess from Blonde Ponytail shared on her blog yesterday!

She is also pregnant ( a little ahead of me ) and she posted a prenatal dumbbell fitness workout for us pregnant ladies, non pregnant ladies can do it too!

The workout is awesome! Seriously felt that burn and booty burn especially! I ended up doing it 4 times through and used my tabata app for time. Such a short, sweet, and effective workout! Try it if you are looking for a new one, I will be doing again for sure!

Pre-workout I did have half of a luna lemon zest bar, fab flavor I love.

30 minutes after my workout I made some lunch. Easy wrap with chicken, cheese, hummus, and spinach with apple slices.

Rest of the afternoon was spent doing computer work, talking on the phone with a company about an awesome giveaway! You guys will LOVE it and it is coming soon!

Pre-dinner snack of chobani pear with dry cereal and a crushed cinnamon cookie, yum!

The wonderful people at chobani got me stocked up on pear and banana, amazing! Thanks chobani!

Dinner was a big salad of wonderful, easy and delish!

Grilled chicken, spinach, veggies, and the new spicy hummus I picked up!

This is SO good! I am so happy I decided to try it!

Off to bed early I was and I pretty much was pinning my life away with baby shower ideas and nursery stuff too. I really want to get my baby shower invites out by March 16th since my shower is April 21st, we are almost already in March! My best friend and I are meeting Monday to discuss more baby shower things, so that will be great.

*********

This morning I had a bagel, but not just ANY bagel, a banana bread bagel my friends!

I can’t even tell you the last time I had a bagel, but I saw these at the store and knew I would love them and damn I wish they were not a special edition! I wish the pumpkin ones they bring out in the fall were around all year too.

Thomas you are brilliant  icon biggrin New Bagel and Booty Burn

I was wishing I had some bee’s knee’s pb from pb&co or some coco bananas peanut butter from pb crave to top on this baby!

Instead I topped the bagels with sunbutter ( which rocks! ) and strawberries!

IMG 0503 New Bagel and Booty Burn

Oh banana bread bagel heaven, soooooo good!

IMG 0508 New Bagel and Booty Burn

I am thinking it is going to be a bagel breakfast every day this week, perhaps a different topping tomorrow?

What a delicious way to start the day  icon mrgreen New Bagel and Booty Burn

Happy Thursday friends! I am hoping to get a deal on some wallflowers at bath and body works since we are completely out, going to start a Target baby registry, and have a rest day with exercise.

Mike and I are going to register at Babies R Us and Target we decided. I figured I would just do the target one quick in the day while he is at work and the Babies R Us one, which will be the big one, we will do together. Target has some good stuff, but Babies R Us is going to be the big list!

Excited to start zapping stuff with my target gun today, haha!

See ya later!

What is your favorite kind of bagel? I love blueberry, but when I worked my office job I would go to Panera so many mornings on the way to work for their cinnamon crunch bagel. So so good!

Moms or expecting moms, where was your favorite place to register at?

That bagel looks yummy Katie, actually all of your food does! You make it look so pretty :) I love cinnamon and raisin bagels, a classic but soo tasty. And raisins are great when hot out the toaster. Have a great Thursday Katie!

I like whole grain or nine grain bagels or something like that. The granier, the better! I love when there are nuts mixed in, too!!

Cookie and cereal in yogurt? Sign me up for that! I recently saw that banana Greek yogurt at the stores and have been wondering about it. I think I am definitely going to give it a try.

And those bagels? Um, hello! You can bet that I will be looking for those the next time that I go grocery shopping. I have a slight obsession with all things banana :) .

Banana bread bagel?! That sounds pretty fantastic.
Blueberry bagels have always been my favourite, especially if there’s some strawberry cream cheese around!

I loved registering for my wedding! I kind of forgot I’ll get to do it again when I’m pregnant–yay!!

Love reading about your pregnancy workouts–I’m hoping this happens for me in the next year or so, and I’ll definitely be digging through your blog archives.

Okay, but banana bread bagel sounds like it would be mighty delicious! It looks super tasty!

Oh wow, I definitely need to hunt down those banana bread bagels! They sound delish! It’s difficult to pick my favorite kind of bagel… If I’m going for more savory, I love everything bagels, but if I want sweet, I like cinnamon sugar or blueberry.

We registered at Target and Babies ‘R Us, both of which we’ve been pretty happy with!

I bet that bagel is SO good!! Bagels are awesome but I don’t usually get them because I have a wheat sensitivity. I love the cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera. My sister introduced me to them when she worked there.

You are the luckiest girl in the world with all that Chobani!!

Is it crazy that I’m actually not a big fan of bagels? The banana bread flavor sounds pretty tempting, but I prefer breads, wraps, and english muffins over bagels – texture thing maybe?

Have fun with the zapper gun today. I’d be incredibly dangerous with one of those in my hands…

I love Jess’s workouts, I did her kettlebell workout the other day, love it!

My favorite bagel back in the day was onion-nice and toasted well.
Now if I DO eat a bagel (doesnt happen much) I love seven grains or wheat with everything (garlic, onion, poppys, sesameseeds!)

Have fun registering!
I remember I went with my sister to register for her baby shower thinking it wouldnt take us long. We started where the baby bottles are, and we just stood there blank-stares for like 20 mins, so lost! I had no idea there were SO.MANY. OPTIONS!!!
We had to have someone at Babies R Us walk around with us for info on all products!

Thanks girl! I felt a little lost today too, I mean Anthony is going to be 13 so it has been a while!

Glad to hear the Babies R US people were helpful! Mike and I are going next week!

We just got done registering actually! We live in Chicago suburbs and just registered at a store called Buy Buy Baby. Its the sister company to Bed Bath Beyond and basically is a baby SUPERSTORE! I was lost as this is my first baby and just felt so incredibly overwhelmed, especially in the clothes/bottle section. Thank goodness the store manager knew exactly how to help us, she def knew her stuff. Err on the safe side and register for more than you think – lots of people will be wanting to buy you things!! Have fun!

I am excited to hear more about the baby shower details and of course the baby shower. Good Luck with the registries:) I walked into a Babies R’ Us for a baby shower gift and was blown away with all the stuff in there. I had to ask for assistance, since I do not have children and had no idea what a baby needs. I usually go with a car blankie as a gift – never can have to many of those. Happy Thursday!

I love a good booty burn. It makes me feel like Beyonce :) Love that flavour of Luna bar. The Lemon Coconut Simply Bar is similar, except it is less sweet and a little higher in protein. One of my faves :)

They make banana bread bagels??? Omgggg i need some…normally i’m a fan of whole wheat, honey oat, or blueberry (all topped with a nut and fruit butter of some kind), but those sound phenomenal! I love the pumpkins in the fall, too :)

I love the banana bread bagels! Especially with peanut butter and some chocolate chips! Yumm. My mom and I split one last spring every morning while I was home <3

I saw you were contemplating on zapping the Cadbury Creme Eggs at Target… I TOTALLY would have done it! If you have cravings, you have cravings and in my opinion that's a perfect baby shower gift! Haha!
