Hey friends! Happy TGIF!
I left you guys off yesterday with a protein recipe coming out of the oven. I love pinterest for finding new recipes, often I never get to actually making the recipes because I am so overwhelmed with how many I pinned!
Well, yesterday I did decide to try one that I knew Mike and I both would love to have for a healthy snack and could be frozen for months.
I pinned these bars on pinterest, but modified the, a little!
Chocolate Peanut Butter and Berry Protein Bars
( adapted from this recipe here over at dashing dish )
- 1/2 cup chocolate fitmixer protein powder ( you could use any protein powder )
- 1/4 cup peanut flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp applesauce
- 1/4 cup silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup egg whites
- 4 packets of stevia
- 1 cup of berries ( I used frozen berries )
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, mix all ingredients in bowl, spray a smal bread loaf pan, and put mixture in. I baked mine for 20 minutes!
I feel like these could be a protein bread too, since they were so fluffy and bread like, but I cut them like bars. Hmmmm bars or cake?
Either way delicious!
Now I have breakfast ready!
A couple pieces of this with some almond butter on top or crumbled in greek yogurt, perfect!
These bars can be frozen too, which makes it nice to make ahead and have on the go when needed!
I love you pinterest
Other recipes I plan on making….

Can not wait to make this over weekend. Stay warm beautiful =) Will keep you posted on my baking skills lol =)
I have no baking skills and these came out for me!
Those look awesome and really versatile! I pin fitness stuff and healthy food a lot. I also pin kid crafts a lot
That bread looks delicious and such a good idea that it can be frozen. Bet they would be incredible warm with coconut ice cream!
I love Pinterest! I am so obsessed with pinning! I definitely pin dinner recipes the most. I always have a hard time figuring out what to make for dinner. Happy Friday!
I’m not on Pinterest as much as the other social media sites… Whenever I am on though I get sucked in!
YUM! Those look delicious!! And super easy to make. I get overwhelmed by Pinterest sometimes…
My post today is about Pinterest too…seriously addicted to the thing! I remember seeing those bars a while back, I may have to give them a shot!
I agree pinterest is overwhelming sometimes! But everything I’ve tried to make has ended up being really great!
Those bars look amazing! I love anything with chocolate involved!
I forgot about Pinterest until about a week ago and since then I’ve been pinning recipes galore! Mostly Paleo. It’s really helped me keep track and store the recipes I always plan on making. In fact, it’s helped me actually make them! HAHA.
I just repinned the coconut bread pudding recipe from your board. Totally making it this weekend.
TGIF!
When you make the coconut bread pudding you better make a post about it! LOL Looks SOOOO good!
Haha! YES I will! Happy Weekend! <3
That bread looks delicious – I could really go for some doughy goodness right now. I’m horrible when it comes to actually making the things I pin, and I think it’s mostly because I just pin too much and get overwhelmed. It’s like there are soooo many delicious looking meals out there that I just don’t know which one to make first.
Happy Friday, love!
Looks like you’ve been putting that new camera to good use! Your pics look great! But having those amazing looking bars as models helps too
I definitely want to make these. I’ve been having SO many sugar cravings lately and not been making healthy choices. I think I’ve just gotten a little too lax after the wedding! dangit. These will definitely cure my chocolate craving while still being healthy! YAY! Thanks chickie. Happy Friday!
Hey , it happens
Yes, make these! Nate will like them too!
Happy weekend love! I hope all is well! <3
Those look very yummy!! TGIF!!
Holy yummy protein bars Batman! I love it when I see a recipe on a blog that looks amazing AND I have all the ingredients! I’m a big berry lover too
Pinterest is the best, isn’t it? I’m loving the look of those chicken salad lettuce wraps! YUM!
Yummy thanks for sharing! I going to make it this weekend. Happy Friday!
I have not been on pinterest in forever, oops. Love the bread recipe, and glad to hear it came out fluffy. I sometimes think baking with protein powder dries it out, so I definitely have to try this
happy weekend!!
It looks like a sinful chocolate cake, but those ingredients look much healthier
They look so yummy!
That looks like a really yummy one!!!! I’m a big fan of dashingdish! I hope you have a super Friday!! Xxoo
I’m totally following you on pinterest now!

oh, and I wonder if I could make those bars with vanilla pp instead? my man isn’t a chocolate fan, but I bet he’d love them as “blondies”!
xo.
Yay!
Yes you could use vanilla pp for sure! The original recipe does use protein powder! Happy weekend love!
I’m so in love with Pinterest. Mostly I use it for recipes, health coaching ideas, fitness routines and quotes. When I make a recipe that I have pinned, I move it to a different board called “Recipes I’ve tried and liked”.
Mm these look great! I have no idea what the last recipe i made on pinterest which is funny since i have a ton pinned….possibly pumpkin french toast casserole for thanksgiving.,.i pin a ton of quotes too…some make me laugh, some make me think, some give me encouragement, and some just remind me that life really is beautiful
Love pinterest….now if I could find time to actually do some of the stuff I’ve pinned. I pin mostly recipes with home decor, workouts and quotes mixed in. Those bars look super delish!
There is never enough time to do all the stuff you pin, necause you just keep pinning more!
Happy weekend love!
This all looks so yummy!
I’ve totally over-pinned onto my recipes board…it’s so easy to find TONS of amazing-looking recipes! The latest I tried out was a recipe for vegan pumpkin cinnamon rolls. They were as amazing as they sound!
Haha! Yes, very easy to do on there! Wow I bet they were, yum!
Always recipes! I made the kabocha squash and lentil curry from healthful pursuit!
Sounds good! I love her recipes, always look amazing!
i love pinterest! so addicting! and i’ve been on a protein baking spree! i am totally making this! i actually just made a protein “cake” that i found on pinterest, but this one sounds yummy too!!
Oooooh! I will have to follow you on there! Yes, pinterest is great!
ok what size pan did you make these in? i actually made them, followed your recipe exactly and mine did NOT come out bread-like at all. they were really moist, the only thing i can think of was my pan was too big and they were too thin?
OOOH awesome recipe!
Is it weird that I don’t use Pinterest at all?
Not weird, you are a smart soul
haha!
I always check out this website before buying any protein products – http://www.excellentprotein.com – My personal favourite is the Supreme Protein Carb Conscious Bar because of the high protein:carb ratio.
