Last night Mike and I had a lot of fun at his holiday work party, was a very nice night with good food and great people. Mike really is lucky to work at such a great firm, everyone is so nice and it definitely helps for me since I can be shy and nervous. I have been to enough parties with his job now, so I know mostly everyone except for some new hires.

I didn’t take pics, since that is not a place to do it. We did however cut it an hour short since this pregnant momma was tired and no wine means mild night, haha!

Breakfast this morning was a classic favorite of mine, an oatmeal pancake!

So easy to make and so many ways to create different combos with it.

Oatmeal Raspberry Pancake

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup egg whites
  • stevia
  • raspberries

Mix all those ingredients in a bowl, pour onto a skillet and cook it up!

Topped with mrm vanilla protein powder mixed with almond milk to thin, melted peanut butter, and raspberries.

Yesterday I did make it to Sephora! I tried to got Friday, but got busy with other things and never made it. All the gift cards I basically got for christmas were sephora, which was really nice because for once I could spend a little money on makeup.

I was really needing some oil for my terribly dry skin and I also got a couple other things that I typically don’t spend the dough on, but all my gift cards covered the stuff, and I have a little more money left on one too!

1. Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder – I have been using a neutrogena powder which is good, but I tried this on at the store and loved it! Laura Mercier has a great makeup line, this powder is great and gives me the full coverage I need since I don’t wear foundation hardly ever.

2. Josie Maran Organic Argan Oil- Everyone has been telling me that argan oil will help my dry skin, so I searched online at sephora and looked at reviews as well for a few of them. This oil got great reviews so I went with it. I used it last night for the first time and it does feel awesome on my skin, I will let you guys know if I continue to like it and if it helps!

3. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser- I used to use this stuff long ago, loved it very much but my skin was not meant for it after I needed something more helpful for my acne that I had bad. Since I am older and my skin is much better, I decided to get this again, it works great with the clarasonic, which I love. A very light and gentle cleanser that removes dirt and makeup very well! Great for sensitive skin too, I just bought a little tube to be safe and if it works well, I will buy another for sure.

4.  Nars Dolce Vita Lip Gloss – A fabulous color that looks great on any skin tone and the gloss does not get gooey and sticky like some do! I have this color in the nars lipstick too and love it. I decided to get the gloss, I wore it with a mauve lip liner last night and it looked great!

I really do love makeup, beauty, and all that comes with that! I am such a girly girl! I seriously wish I would win a shopping spree at sephora, that would be a store I would pick for one  icon biggrin Sephora Swag

I love sharing what makeup or beauty products I like, you never know if you try something out and fall in love with it too. I go on so many beauty blogs, some things I have bought and tried from seeing something and loved it! Nars orgasm blush for example is one I saw long ago on a beauty blog, my favorite blush ever!

Have a happy Sunday!

Happy birthday to your beautiful sister! Yesss to the makeup! I went to Sephora yesterday and bought way too much. That Nars pressed powder is probably my favorite, it’s the only brand that doesn’t make me break out! And heck yes to argan oil! You should also try it on your hair, it is seriously amazing! It’s made SUCH a difference in my hair. Mmm, to the pancake, makes me miss my egg whites ha. xox

I love oatmeal pancakes! I found a recipe for one in Self magazine a long time ago but it doesn’t use baking powder. I may need to try your version!

I use argan oil in my hair and I absolutely love it. It makes it so shiny and soft. I feel you on the skin issues. I’ve struggled with my skin my entire life. But, a few months ago I discovered jojoba oil and oh my goodness, it’s seriously incredible. It lessens dryness and flakes and my skin hasn’t been breaking out as badly since I started using it. I love it and now it’s a beauty staple of mine!

Looks like a great weekend was had!
I hardly wear make up, I cannot stand to have anything on my face (foundation, powder, anything..I feel it just maximized my pores!)
I do wear eye shadow and eye liner.
I got a GC to sephora and MAC for Christmas..hmm, maybe that is a hint to start wearing more make up?! haa!

I don’t wear a ton either, just little concealer if needed and powder on skin! Eyeliner yes!

YES! Oh I wish I could go with you, love sephora! You could even buy a new perfume there or hair products, such great stuff!
