The Little Things

by Healthy Diva on February 15, 2013

Life is all about the little things. Little things that make you smile, laugh, or feel loved.

Last night I made a salmon dinner for Mike and I since we did not head out for Valentine’s Day Dinner. We have plans to do our dinner on Saturday, but honestly last night I loved SO much, I wouldn’t even care if we didn’t go out this weekend.

Little things make me happy like getting to make a simple and delicious dinner for us, him being home at a decent time for dinner so we could enjoy it together.

I cooked up salmon, made two salads, and I had a sweet potato on the side for my entree and MIke had some herb and garlic potatoes.

It was so nice to have time together last night, Mike’s job gets really busy and there are many nights we can’t sit and have dinner together. We always have dinner as a family when we do sit down for dinner, but tonight it was just nice with the two of us.

Little things I love like a simple card, just what he wrote on the envelope makes me grateful and feel so loved.

Oh and he got me a sucker , haha!

After dinner we went to bed early and watched Wall-E!

Ok so I amy have cried a little, but I am blaming pregnancy hormones on that. I love the movie, plus it made me think of when Anthony was little and how him and I used to watch disney movies together all the time, now he is all grown up.

Mike and I did talk about how excited we are for when Baby G is old enough to start watching disney movies, how fun that will be! I am excited to do it all over again since my baby boy is almost 13! Little things like that are such special memories you never forget.

*******

Breakfast this morning was parfait style and so delicious!

Pear chobani, trader joe’s o’s, raspberries, and nuttzo!

Little things like NUTTZO make me happy!

Seriously it is amazing and I am so happy I got to get a jar through Fitfluential, it will be gone soon. I can’t even explain the taste, but it is nut butter heaven!

Well I have a guy coming to put our bathroom flooring down, so I am off to get dressed and to get a couple more things done before he gets here. I am feeling SO much better today! I am so happy that this virus is finally saying bye, phew!

Happy Friday!

I am huge Disney fanatic! So I absolutely love Disney movies! I like so many of them. I don’t think I can even choose a favorite but Lady & The Tramp is high up on my list.

I love Disney movies. The children are on a big Disney kick at the moment, the favourites being Tangled and Beauty and the Beast. I’ve got to admit I love them too :)

I’ve actually never watched Bambi all the way through. My cousins took me to the cinema to see it when I was about 5 and we had to leave a little way in because I wouldn’t stop crying lol.

You’re so right, life’s all about the little things!

Last night I went and got a massage! I feel like someone pressed a restart button on my body, I feel so amazing today! I hadn’t had one in like 2 years…I watched all the Disney movies when I was little! I think I saw Little Mermaid in the theaters. YES I remember going to the Disney store and how special it was! I thought I was so cool cause I bought a pencil with the Little Mermaid on it lol!

It is the little things in life for sure! Glad you guys had a great evening in. I had a pretty chill evening – my dad made us spaghetti and we all enjoyed a glass of wine. Simple and delicious.

My husband had to work, but made me dinner before he had to leave :) Then I spent the night watching The Aristocats (a Valentine’s Gift from Mimi) with my girls, which resulted in my 4 year old running around singing “Everybody Wants to Be a Cat” for the rest of the night. I have a love of Disney movies and 3 of my favorites (yes, three because I can’t narrow it down!) are Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan. Basically, any movie Disney has ever made I love it!

Glad you guys had a good Valentine’s Day!

We are doing our Valentine Celebration tonight because my husband had class late last night!
And it is perfectly alright to cry at Wall-E. I cried too… and did not have any pregnancy hormones haha

Wall-E! Omigosh! Seriously one of the sweetest movies ever, and I think I cried the first time I saw it too. I loved Disney as a little kid and still do. Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Alladin

Happy Friday, love!

Valentines Day was so much fun! I was really excited for my daughter because she is in 1st grade and V-Day was always one of my favorite days. All the activities and valentines and candy. Then we went over to my moms with her cousins and had dinner and did sugar cookie decorating.

I didn’t have plans with my bf because we don’t celebrate it and he lives 90 minutes away but he knew I was having a rough day (marathon training is done because my doctor confirmed a stress fracture yesterday) so he came and surprised me. SO perfect, just him being there:-)

What a great night! My favorite Disney movie was Alice in Wonderland because I thought it was called ‘Allison Wonderland’, which is my name! I went to dinner with the boy and saw Safe Haven which definitely made me cry, and I’m not even pregnant haha

So cute! Oh my gosh, don’t even ask me to pick a favorite Disney movie, I love them ALL! I went through a phase as a kid where I only wore Disney clothes haha, yes I was odd.
I loved being a nanny because I got to watch them all again;)
Love this post and you’re so right the little things all add up at the end of the day and make life pretty darn wonderful!

I love Wall-E! I saw it in the theater actually! I agree it is all about the little things sometimes… Kyle and I went to a sushi place last night, we sat at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine. We don’t get a chance to go out often, so it was a nice change of pace! Hope you have a great weekend! :)

I remember getting my first Disney movie as a birthday gift- The Little Mermaid! Love Disney movies forever!

Wonderful celebration you had :)

I celebrated by watching “Crazy, Stupid Love” (hello, Ryan Gosling) and “Cruel Intentions” (hello, Ryan Phillippe). haha :D

Oh yes, I’ve seen basically every Disney movie – especially when I was younger. My favorite Disney princesses are Belle from Beauty & The Beast, and Aurora from “Sleeping Beauty” (she’s so underrated).

I am ALL about appreciating all of the little thing’s in life! And spending time with family and friends is definitely at the TOP of that list! So glad you guys got to have a nice quiet evening at home! On V-Day night, the man-friend and I went out for a nice dinner and then snatched up a free Redbox rental, went home, and chilled on the couch for the rest of the night…and I loved every minute of it! :)

We used to watch Disney movies ALL the time when I was younger! My favorites are Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Cinderella!

I am so happy you had a nice valentine’s day too! Always nice to just enjoy quality time together! Now, I am confused and been meaning to ask, is man friend still the same man friend?!

You don’t have to answer, was just wondering! <3
