Wonderful All Around!

You guys rock!

Thanks for all the birthday love to my mom ( she says thanks so much ! ) and thank you for all the good luck wishes for Rocco’s first day at daycare!

I am happy to say, the day was wonderful all around!

Rocco did well on his first day, only crying a little after I left. He settled in quickly, played with toys, took a nice nap, and was content. He didn’t eat his lunch, which I kind of thought would happen, but he did drink lots of milk. i think once he gets used to it there, he will start eating his food. He only ate his snack, but in due time he will be eating his lunch there like a pro! First day done!

He came home and was happy to be with mom obviously, and his toys!

Last night was also wonderful, celebrated my moms birthday at Outback Steakhouse with my family!

Mike and Rocco stayed behind, since it was a little later and Rocco goes to bed around 7:30-8:30. We didn’t want to have him out late and off schedule. He gets soooooooooo cranky if he gets off schedule, as moms can understand that!

Always love a reason to rock a cute dress for a night out  😉

( I want to live some where that I can wear maxi dresses all year long)

And I always love being able to get us all together, our lives our so busy it can be hard to do. Outback is always good when we go there, and it’s my moms favorite place.

I got an asian salmon salad, that was very good!

After everyone stuffed their faces with food, it was time for some birthday cake. My dad got my mom the coolest cake and she loved it so much.

Since my mom loves dogs ( she is an animal control officer, saves cats and dogs daily ) he got her a yorkie cake. Yorkies are one of her favorite dog breeds. We always had a yorkie growing up, they are cute dogs.

My mom was very happy! She texted me later on that night and said she had the best birthday. How happy that made me!

Always nice to have family all around on a special day and we are so grateful for our mom!

Anthony , my nephew Donato, and Jamison were there too! The boys of the family, minus Rocco and Ellis who were missing!

My parents, I think I will keep them  😉

Today is supposed to be beautiful out, so Rocco and I are going to get out to the park to enjoy it! Now, mind you I was up at 4:15 am with him and not sure what energy I have. Haha. Rocco had a rough night, so we ended up sleeping on the floor together, and went back to sleep around 5:30 am, then I got up at 7. He is just waking up now, so time for breakfast for him!

See you guys tomorrow! Coffeeeeeeeeeeeeee me up!

Do you get to see your family a lot? We try to get together once or twice a month for dinners, but I do stop by my parents weekly and see some of my sisters here and there, when I can! We all have different and busy schedules!

Maxi dresses, who else LOVES them?

That cake is so awesome! I love the pic of you, your mom and sisters. I’m also so happy Rocco is settling into pre school!

You should get an air mattress of a cot for Rocco’s room so you don’t have to sleep on the floor!!!! That’s madness!

That is the best cake ever! That looks like such a fun night out with family. I’m really looking forward to being back in Maryland where we can be around our families again. For the past few years, I’ve missed tons of birthdays and special events, so I’m happy to be able to join them again!

That cake is precious! My parents live in Texas, I live in Alabama, soooo we might get to see each other once a year. *sad face* Thank goodness for facetime and skype.

I am lucky to see my parents at least once a year – have not seen my brother since 2009 – way too long. My in-laws live a little closer, so see them at least one to three times a year. Going on a family vacay with the in-laws in a few months time – been planning since the end of 2012.

I am more of a skirt wearing, since maxi dresses are hard for me to pull off with my height – either have to hold up to walk or spend money to hem and hemming costs more than the dress at times unless I do it myself.

How Wonderful that Your Mom had a GREAT Birthday and Sweet Cheeks Survived his 1st Day at Daycare :)

    Happy Hump Day!

My parent live about 45 minutes away and we see them as often as we can. My husband’s mom lives literally right across the street from us! So we see hear practically daily.

There is NOTHING better than family! I can see the resemblance between you, your Mom, and your Sisters – so lovely, all of you. I am so close with my parents, brother, and two sisters and I find it so sad when I hear others speak about lacking that closeness or worse, emotional attachment. Embrace what you have, as you do (!) everyday and build the same strong family ties with your sons!! You are VERY lucky!!!!!

I think I may need to ask for a dalmatian cake next year! LOL
I’m lucky… my parents live about five minutes away and we see each other a lot. My in-laws are close, too, so it’s great to have family around us.
