This weekend was a beautiful one with beautiful weather and LOTS of relaxing time! Mike really needed the relaxing time, he had a really tough past 2 weeks at work and I was more than happy to just chill with him. Sometimes I can get crabby with sitting around since I am always used to doing something, but I love that man and damn he needed rest. I actually didn’t mind it, we were even too lazy to do dinner out so we did take out one night!
Oh and we did run to Target on Saturday, Mike said it was a must! Mike wanted to get our tree so we would have it all ready to be put up on Black Friday, a tradition we have! We don’t shop on black Friday, we decorate our tree and decorate our house for christmas! Anthony and I had this tradition when it was just us, so all of us as a family started it together when we had our first christmas with Mike!
So my Marvelous in my Monday recap does have some CHRISTMAS ready cheer!
Target had the tree we wanted and it was on sale! They only had two left, we are so happy we got it in time!
We got lights for the tree and for outside as well! I am excited to really decorate for christmas this year! Oh and we may have competition NOW from our neighbors, YUP! Mike was carrying the christmas tree in the house yesterday and the neighbor stopped him and asked if we were really going all out decorating for christmas. Mike told the neighbor we are decorating a little but not going National Lampoon Christmas Vacation style, haha!
The neighbor said they were not going all out either, YET today guess what we see?
The neighbors outside going ALL out with christmas decor in the yard! Oh it is SO on now!! Haha! I was spying and told Mike all the deets and how they decorated their lamp post the way I was going to do mine! Lol! We are crazy!
We are going to decorate WAY more than originally planned now, we kind of need to step it up! I think our neighbors were scared of us decorating over the top so they decided too, guess it’s on now!
All in fun, but it is funny!
Ok SO our tree decor colors are going to be simple but pretty, we picked these bulbs out!
Oh and you might spy a christmas HK tee too, it was too cute to pass up! I usually am not big on wearing HK too much, but the shirt says something cute! I am going to wear it christmas morning!
I got some other ornaments to put on the tree besides the bulbs too, staying with the same color scheme as well!
Child abuse on the way home happened, Anthony was smashed in the back by the tree box! We desperately need a SUV one day, we both have clown cars!
Other christmas stuff….
We got one of our favorite christmas movies that we thought we owned and found out a couple weeks ago we didn’t! We made sure to get it and to add it to our christmas movie collection! The Grinch!
Holiday trail mixes from Planters, these are SOOOOOOOO good!
Mike and I had to crack them open last night and I am so shocked we had self control and did not demolish them!
The vanilla coated almonds in the almond chocolate crunch are to die for!
Mike is the reason we got both flavors, he could not decide between the two and made the executive decision to get both! Good choice though, both so damn good!
DINNER on Saturday night was amazing and to go! Like I said earlier, we were being too chill and lazy to actually go out to eat
Chipotle! I was wanting a burrito bowl and for the first time in 7 YEARS, I had steak! Yes, crazy I know! I seriously have been listening to my body and I know that my body needs some red meat, I feel I don’t get enough iron and red meat here and there is not bad for you!

Oh chipotle, we love you! I think chipotle is going to be a weekly thing around here, just can’t get enough!

Sunday was spent relaxing and taking a nice 30 minute walk while talking on my phone to catch up with my family. I like to make calls during my walks, it’s time that I can call my sisters and say hi or my mom. Interrupted time!

Sunday also means face mask Sunday! I like to do mask twice a week and Sunday is one of those days 
And I watched all the beautiful stars dressed up on the red carpet for the AMA’s last night. I loved Carrie Underwood’s dress, so beautiful!

Wow. You had a great weekend! I love going shopping for Christmas decorations! My mom and I actually went “window shopping” at Walmart last week and I took a whole bunch of pictures. Haha. I was surprised they had so much stuff out! AWESOMENESS.
This will be my family’s third year going Black Friday shopping. We usually just leave our hotel at midnight and drive to Walmart which is just a few minutes away. We go in with no plans really, and just buy some cheap DVD’s and stuff. That way no one is disappointed and no one gets hurt.
I can’t wait to go shopping for actual presents though. My dad and I get off school a week before my mom and brother, so we are probably going to do some shopping then. Fun! Fun!

Chipotle is a big favorite here too! We all dressed up (me, the hubs, and 4 kiddos!) on Halloween just to get the $2 meals at Chipotle this year.

we would always decorate the day after Thanksgiving too! I’m from Wisconsin, and we typically went to cut our own tree from the farm, many times trampling through the snow.
I’m probably going to set mine up on Saturday, since Kyle has to work on Friday. Love your tree color scheme!

I don’t get to visit Chipotle for another 3-ish weeks when I fly down to Vegas, and I’m trying to hold off on the Christmas decorations for at least another two weeks. I should probably start my Christmas shopping soon, but knowing me, I’ll leave it until the second week of December and get all excited with the Christmas rush 
Now I’m craving Chipotle!! Yum!!

SO precious and I love your family holiday tradition of decorating on Black Friday! Last year was the first year [my hubby and] I went out and we ended up with a new TV… We don’t need anything and he’s having surgery on Wednesday so I think we’ll be chilling on the couch
