This past weekend we had a very relaxing, get chores done, and Valentine’s Day celebrating kind of weekend! Since we did not celebrate on Thursday, we did on Saturday all day by just spending the day together, buying our BIG valentine’s gift, and doing a dinner out!
MIMM has all the highlights and MIMM has a new logo, hope you all love it!
Toilets, yup! We had Anthony’s bathroom all redone and decided to add a new toilet to the mix in it and a new toilet in the powder room. The toilets we had in those bathrooms were pretty old and needed to be replaced. Happy Valentine’s Day, haha!
When you own a home, Lowes becomes your best friend 
Our Valentine’s Day dinner was very nice, we went to one of our favorite places, Juniper Grill!

Dinner was FABULOUS! Special Valentine’s Day menu which had great features.
**warning! Iphone pics ahead and the lighting in this place is horrible! So dim, but I like dim, just not great for pics.
I started with the strawberry salad, delicious!
Mike got a chicken caesar salad to start, it was huge!
We both decided on the surf and turf, just sounded amazing and I was craving some filet!
Perfect and we both were very pleased with our choice!
Was a fabulous meal, we never have a bad one there! We both talked about how we can’t wait to go there when Baby G is born, and we can each have a glass of sangria! Ahhhh I do miss my sangria!
When we got home we exchanged cards and gifts. We decided to get each other each a gift and I was very happy with the one Mike got me and he LOVED his!
I got a sweet new lululemon jacket, in love!
I got Mike a beautiful picture blown up from our honeymoon trip in Maui. This picture means a thousand words to us and holds such a special memory and moment we had at dinner there on our last night on the beach.
We are going to hang above our mantle in our living room, it is amazing!
Mike also got a card for the baby, so damn sweet!
Technically is his first v-day 
How could I forget dessert?!
The frozen yogurt place is right near Juniper Grill and I got froyo to go on the way home!
Cake batter and dark chocolate with lots of toppings!
Heaven, yes!
The rest of the night we cuddled up and watched Chopped on dvr, a weekend tradition around here.
Sunday was spent relaxing, getting a good weight and cardio workout in, and paint colro shopping for the nursery with my sister!
Workout was a weight and cardio session at home, I rocked my heart socks, haha!
My sister and I went to Lowe’s to look at the nursery colors in the afternoon.
The two colors smack dab in the middle are the colors I am doing, the wet pavement color and the blue one on the end of the blue card. I am very excited to get the nursery all painted soon and to get it all set up!
Next up is furniture, that will be happening in the next couple weeks!
Fabulous weekend and I am ready to start the week! First thing this morning the guy is coming to install the toilets, weeeeeeeeee! Lots of errands to do after he gets done and a workout will happen too sometime in the day!

Katie, you and Mike are such a thoughtful, loving couple! I love receiving handwritten cards and the fact that Mike thought to write one for baby G…wow…so freakin sweet! It must be so exciting to decorate the nursery! I hope to experience it someday…And Yes! Lowes and Home Depot are our best friends even though I still feel lost and overwhelmed when I see them haha

Now THAT is my kind of Valentine’s Day gift!! I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who would rather have a practical gift as opposed to their significant other spending a fortune on a few flowers and chocolate. Practicality definitely wins over for me when it comes to Valentine’s Day!

Ohhh I couldn’t help but laugh at the toilet thing – so true. My Christmases and birthdays used to be all about makeup, clothes, and fun girly things, but now? New appliances for my kitchen, bed spreads, table cloths, houseplants, and I’m still waiting on an iron
