TTMT #16 The Truth

by Healthy Diva on April 22, 2014

I love “Talk to me Tuesday” and missed doing it last week. Today is one that I thought would be fun, not any advice or tips. Just saying the truth.

Truth will set you free, right?

ttmt 1 TTMT #16 The Truth

Some true things about me…

  • I try to live the healthiest I can each day.
  • Sometimes I suck ass at the truth above.
  • I truly am a happy person, always see the happy in each day. YES, people can be happy daily, I know it is hard for some to believe. Sorry I shit rainbows and glitter daily, but it is who I am.
  • I love pink and glitter. Haha.
  • I tend to trust too much.
  • My hair is naturally curly, and a hot frizz mess at times because of that.
  • I am not perfect. Who is?
  • I suck asssssssssss at grammar. Do I embrace it? Yes. I am not writing a New York Times best seller book anytime soon. Please embrace my poor grammar.
  • I am a really sensitive person.
  • I have a big heart, which can be good and bad.
  • I had a huge gap between my teeth before I got braces. Talking field goal style, lol.
  • I am a perfectionist when it comes to most things ( besides grammar, LOL ) and it can be awesome to be that way, or horrible when things don’t go my way.
  • My family is EVERYTHING to me.  Family can be blood or not blood too, some friends are my family.
  • I like to shop.
  • I am grateful for all that I have, and never take things or anyone for granted.
  • I hate being cold.
  • I like when a smile at someone and they actually smile back. You would be surprised some don’t.
  • I run on coffee, need it every day.
  • Negativity can get the best of me sometimes, but I always try to erase it once I realize how silly  it is to let it control my happiness.
  • I love froyo. Like I could eat it every day love.
  • I sometimes forget to shave my armpits and think I should just go Europe style and not shave. I forgot to shave them yesterday and went to yoga like that. Weeeeee!
  • I do not like FAKE people.
  • I love being a mom, consider it a huge blessing I never take for granted.
  • Some days I feel on top of the world, other days I feel like I am swimming in poop. My feelings can go from confident to shit in 5 seconds. I need to work on that, and realized that more with YTT.
  • I am not better than any of YOU, you guys are not better than ME. We are all equal, all came to the world the same way, and that is that.

Sooooooooooooooo, there you go. Some truth from me today.

I want YOU to share 5 from you in a comment. Please, I am demanding  icon wink TTMT #16 The Truth

1) We adopted a 12-week old abused puppy from a shelter 1 year ago and I love her more than I could ever explain. I am known to turn down invites just so I can cuddle with her at night or take her on hikes. I will even leave work early for the dog park. Is that bad?
2) I don’t mind my work and actually really like the people I work with, however I would quit in a second if my dream job came up. The problem is I have no idea what it is!
3) I prefer online shopping.
4) I love nice, funky jewelry.
5) I do not own a smart phone and have no interest in one. I have an iPad and that’s enough at my fingertips!

So great you adopted a puppy. I love to hear about when people adopt, it is great to save an animal and give it a loving home. Congrats on the new addition! My mom is an animal control officer and saves animals daily. She is a saint!

Thanks for sharing!

Love this, especially your last point about us all being equal. Here are 5 true things about me:
• I save too much stuff. Was cleaning today and found things from elementary school. Probably should spring clean more often
• I prefer cookies (especially chocolate chip) to cake
• Each place I go, I buy a deck of cards. I have some from Australia, Costa Rica, France and places around the US
• I love meal prepping, cooking, baking and being in the kitchen
• The gym is my happy place. When I’m at the gym, whether doing yoga, Zumba or weight lifting, I am able to forget about everything else going on and just concentrate on my workout

Such a beautiful list, Katie!

(I honestly think we are twins separated at birth as I was nodding and smiling and each item on your list. Being sensitive, positive, glitter and grammar! And I cannot spell. Spell check!)

I admire your vulnerability, openness and big beautiful heart! xo

I love this! Here’s a few of mine:
1) Even though I’m European, I shave my armpits and legs every day. My Irish genes mean dark hair and white skin, so shaving is the way forward. (Sorry, I had to get this in here, in defence of our European reputation! :D)
2) I’m a bit odd, and don’t always realise when I’ve said something weird until people look at me strangely. I like to think I add colour to my group of friends!
3) I’m not a party person at all. To the point where groups of people make me a bit uncomfortable. It makes working in a very sociable workplace a challenge at times.
4) I love being healthy, and am so glad I’ve found a balance that works for me, but I don’t get there every day, and I’m OK with that!

2. I wake up early every day but I love the silence and time to myself.
3. I am graduating college in a week and a half and have absolutely no idea what comes next.
4. I have no motivation for my final exam on Monday.
5. I have an older sister that I don’t know what I would do without.

For someone that constantly claims to “ignore the haterz”, you spend an awful lot of time addressing things said about you on GOMI. You seem like a nice person and I have never/would never post anything about you or anyone else on GOMI, but I have browsed the site before and come across posts about you. You seem like a nice person, but I think part of the reason they keep posting about you is because you continuously post about your “haters” and how it doesn’t bother you, but then you turn around and address their claims every other day or so.

I’m pretty sure just about every blogger has had posts written about them on GOMI, but you seem to take more offense than any other blogger I’ve seen, despite your self-proclaimed “rainbow shitting”. Keep your head up, and don’t let the occasional not-so-nice comment bother you. It just gives them more to talk about.

Hi Sam!

Thanks for commenting, and thanks for the sweet words. I am a nice person, but I don’t have to prove that to anyone. Anyone who would meet me would see that or people I know, already know that.

Oh, GOMI. Yes, of course I read there, as they read here obviously. Do I hate them or what they say about me? Well, of course it can suck what they say, but freedom of speech it is. I do not hate GOMI, it would take a lot for me to hate anyone. They are allowed to say what they want, just as I am allowed to say what I want on my blog.

DO I address them every other day? No. I feel I do say things like I did on this list pointed at them, but not every quote or thing I say is targeted towards them. I know lots of mean people, and it is not all GOMI. There is lots of negativity in the world, and I am always just trying to share positivity because of that.

GOMI is not a hate of mine, and even if I ignored them completely, they would still bash me. And that is totally fine. Hey, they are right on things like my grammar, haha! I wish I could pay one of them to write for me ;)

I appreciate the comment. I am human, I am a sensitive person, and of course I will always keep my head up! Doesn’t mean I can’t be hurt sometimes when people bash me in life in general.

I will never be a blogger to go on there and stand up for myself, like I have seen some bloggers do or bloggers take a pic down or want to quit blogging because of GOMI. GOMI is allowed to do what they do, and you have to just be ok with it, or not read there if it gets to that point you are being a puppet to them. Crazy to see some bloggers are.

I just keep being me ;)

Thanks Sam, I appreciate the comment and hope you understand!
