Fats that are good for you, and hell, ones that are not the best either.
Do you fear the fat?
I did. YUP. I used to live in a “no I am scared of fats land” before.
Then I realized I was doing damage to myself and missing the EFF OUT!
Healthy fats are essential. Should I ramble off the reasons why?
Well, how about a few…
- supplies your body with essential nutrients
- great for skin and hair
- good for cholesterol
- great for reproductive health
- Because they are GOOD!
Healthy fats are where it’s at!

- almond butter
- coconut butter
- chia seeds
Sad to think about days when I feared healthy fats, and how it could of really damaged my body. Sometimes we just get so wrapped up in society, and listen to what they say is bad, good, or what to do. I think it is SO important to spread the message of healthy fats being essential, especially to young teenage girls who may fear the word “fat” when it comes to food.
I was that young adult that did, and it makes me sad. I am embrace my healthy fats now, and need them for sure. The not so healthy fats I embrace too, but in moderation.
