What’s in the TJ’s Bag Wednesday

by Healthy Diva on February 6, 2013

So last night I did a post with a peak into my makeup bag, glad you guys enjoyed it!

Today I am going to share what was in my Trader Joe’s bag yesterday, oh I love that place! I seriously save SO much money on produce there, so grateful to have one close to me.

This weeks buys….

Parmesan, Garlic, and Herb Pita Chips!

Mike has been obsessed with these lately. I told him he needs to dip them in hummus, but he is scared of hummus. Silly guy, doesn’t know what he is missing!

Seaweed Salad!

My first time buying this and I am hoping its yummy! I think I am going to have it tonight on  the side with some salmon!

IMG 0160 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Trader Joe’s O’s!

I love this cereal! I love mixing it in with chobani for crunch too!

IMG 0151 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Superfood Pilaf with quinoa, sweet potatoes, and carrots!

This was the LAST bag of this and it was a little smashed as you can see, haha! I couldn’t pass it up, sounds awesome!

IMG 0161 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Lemons!

Always need my lemons for my water in the morning!

IMG 0162 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Chunky Guacamole!

Yay it is back in stock! Last time I went it was sold out, sadly roasted turkey was sold out this week! BUMMER!

IMG 0152 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Mushrooms!

I love to cook these up with garlic to have on the side of a meal or I even eat them raw dipped in hummus!

IMG 0153 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Garlic Salt!

I was out of garlic seasoning and found this at TJ’s! Sweeeeeeet! I am so excited that I did, will be good with my mushrooms and other stuff too!

IMG 0154 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Very Cherry Berry Blend!

My favorite frozen fruit blend ever! If you have never got this, you need to try!

IMG 0163 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Grilled Chicken Strips!

These will be perfect and easy to heat up for a salad or in a wrap!

IMG 0155 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Stir Fry Veggies!

A great veggie mix to have when you are making a stir fry! We usually have a stir fry every week over here.

IMG 0164 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Pork Loin Roast!

This is really good! We had this once long ago and I decided to buy it again! I like it plain but the boys tend to add some barbeque sauce to it for extra flavor.

IMG 0156 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Pocket-Ful of Fiber Pita Pockets!

My favorite pita pockets in the world! You can make a pita stuffed sandwich with it or make a pizza with it too!

IMG 0165 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Plums!

Baby G was craving some plums, so mama got some plums! YUM!

IMG 01661 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Tomato and Basil Hummus and Chipotle Pepper Hummus!

2 of the best hummus dips at TJ’s hands down! LOVE!

IMG 0157 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Fuji Apples!

I eat an apple every single day!

IMG 0167 Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

Clif Mojo Mountain Trail Mix Bars!

Our favorite over here, never not in the pantry! We love them  icon biggrin Whats in the TJs Bag Wednesday

So those are the goods I got, I also got some stuff at the regular grocery store too! I always shop at both places, better deals at TJ’s on certain things.

Well Happy Wednesday friends!

Today is a BIG day over here, check out the Newest Diva Bump Post I posted this morning!

See you tomorrow, I will not be back tonight!

papaya’s! and banana’s! i could eat them endlessly. also i reccomend using applecider vinegar, some stevia, some soysauce and some olive oil mixed to dress the salad with! to make it super amazing why not add in a dash of sesame seeds too?

I could (and do) eat a banana daily. Definitely my favourite fruit! Although once we get to berry season (June) I eat strawberries or blueberries by the bucket. So.good.

I LOVE the very cherry berry blend! When I used to live near TJ’s, I would eat that and yogurt for breakfast every.single.morning. Mike is scared of hummus? More for you! :)

Gosh I sure love TJ’s! What would we do without it? I haven’t had a plum all Winter, might need to change that. I usually eat some of TJ’s “Fancy Frozen Berry Medley” everyday in some form or another. Happy Wednesday!

I’m so sad we don’t have a Trader Joe’s near us! Everything you got looks so good! The fruit I can eat everyday is grapes (of any kind!). I love to put them in the freezer :)

I eat apples every single day too! You know what they say! I haven’t been to TJ’s in awhile and I need to get my bootie in there. Let us know how the seaweed salad is….I’d like to give that a try and the chunky guacomole is the BOMB!

I am anxious to hear what you think about that seaweed salad because I thought it was disgusting, the texture and taste were off for me. I hope you have a better experience though! The tomato basil hummus is my favorite.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away? :D I haven’t been able to get enough fruits lately, which is crazy considering it’s the middle of winter and I should probably be craving something warmer, but bananas, frozen blueberries, and watermelon have been making daily appearances for months.

Happy Wednesday, girlie!

I could (and do) eat an orange every single day. I love them!

I have never seen that seaweed salad at TJ’s before . . . interesting!!

Reply

30 Heather @fitncookies February 6, 2013 at 11:35 am

I could not live without apples or oranges in my life! I would have to probably go with Apples because you can eat them on the run, and don’t require all the peeling like oranges do (am I the only one who can’t stand to peel oranges?!).

Jealous of your hummus purchases!! I have been to TJ twice in two weeks and they haven’t had any! Or, maybe they moved it from the last time I was there and I have been missing it! Love their hummus, and love your grocery bag! Makes me want to stop there again soon!

I am going to Omaha this weekend and am SO excited to spend my whole paycheck at TJ’s!! haha!! So excited to hear your gender reveal tomorrow. I can’t wait!!!

Blueberries! My fav haha…and that very cherry blend is one of my tjs loves too…so good in plain greek yogurt with some cereal :)

42 Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen February 6, 2013 at 3:39 pm

LOVE the Tomato Basil Hummus…never tried their Guacamole, but the Guacamole HUMMUS is delicious. :) To be honest, I don’t think I’ve met a TJ’s hummus I haven’t liked.

They were out of my favorite almond milk AND celery (wait, can you have favorite celery? I just meant they were out of celery…) last night. Luckily, I will probably ‘need’ to go back very soon…

Curious about the seaweed salad! They are doing lots of Asian lately. I wanted to try the rice cracker snacks they have had at checkout, but I’m too noncommital. :)

I could most fruits every single day but I guess it depends what’s in season as that’s when they’re at they’re best…loving conference and blush pears at the moment – with soy yoghurt and cinnamon with SunButter…amazing combo! I could definitely eat bananas and blueberries every day (and cherries if they were available and as awesome as they are in the summer!)

Truthfully, if I could one eat one food for the rest of my life it would just be any and all fruit. And if it’d be healthy to just eat fruit I would! I have yet to find a fruit I don’t like. So good.

Love TJ’s pita chips – so dang addictive:) That grinder looks like a basic way to season – garlic, onion, parsley, sea salt – all rolled into one! There is just something about a grinder that just makes me feel like a pro in the kitchen – ha! I need some different ideas for fruits for my smoothies – going to have to check the cherry blend out. Wow what a haul of great goodies – Happy Thursday!!!
