Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. Buddhist meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. By engaging with a particular meditation practice you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. Meditation is something that I never really made time for in my life. I first tried meditating a couple years ago, and loved the way it made me feel. I really am not sure why I stopped doing it, and why I don’t meditate every day. Meditation can be 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or longer. Meditation is time you take for YOU to calm your mind.
Meditation is awesome, and since yoga training, I have been doing it more. Last night I meditated before bed, and I passed right out. I have such a problem sleeping at night, and meditation has helped that. I actually plan on meditating now when I am ready for bed, it clears my mind and helps me go off to sleep in peace. Clears my noisy mind, which is needed.

I know meditation might sound like something you don’t have time for or don’t think you would want to try, but you should. Never hurts to try something new, especially if you have lots of stress in your life.
I will be sharing daily meditation mantras as well, which you can use during meditation. When you meditate, repeating a mantra in your head can help silence the mind, experience deep levels of awareness, and pure consciousness.
